Whiplash Brings Emotion To The Big Screen In A Big Way, And More!

When a movie hits the big screen and brings a ton of emotion with it, that movie gets the attention of millions including critics all over the world. There is a new movie coming out that has been getting positive reviews from those critics and just watching the trailer is going to pack some serious emotion inside of you. The movie is “Whiplash” and is about a young, talented drummer that wants to be something big. In this movie, it could be all about the music.

The movie is being described as a very emotional drama that has a few stars that are not new to the scene. Miles Teller is the newcomer and he loves to drum and attends an elite music conservatory in Manhatten where he is mentored by a teacher that is played by the well known J.K. Simmons. Teller’s character, Andrew, is very optimistic that he will become the best drummer that ever lived and J.K. Simmon’s character is there make sure of it, or not.

J.K. Simmons plays Terrance Fletcher and he is hard nosed teacher at the school that seems to have it out for Andrew. He tactics might be a little hard to handle at times, but there is one thing on his mind and it might just be the music. There is a little repetitiveness that comes with the movie in that Fletcher is constantly getting into the face of Andrew. If this does not seem to be a good movie to you, at least see it for the performances, according to the critics.

Online sources are calling Whiplash one of the best drama’s of the year and it is lining up to take awards left and right as well. Andrew wants exactly what his teacher sees for him, but is he going to go to the deepest part of himself to get it? Getting to be the best at the drums is taking a toll on Andrew and throughout the movie you can see how getting totally immersed can ruin, or shape ones life.

With so much to soak in during the movie, you are quickly reminded who is running the show as Fletcher makes his students aware that they dare not stray from the path they are on. There will surely be a debate about what the cost of greatness and whether or not it is worth it in the end.
