Rumors about the alleged 2015 Ford Bronco have been going back and forward lately, with different sources claiming different things about the new truck. In the end, it’s not even clear if Ford are actually working on the new model right now, or if it’s going to be called Bronco if it does come out, but the sheer volume of rumors about the truck is a good enough indication that something is happening behind the scenes.
According to the most prominent rumors, the new Ford Bronco is actually going to be named the Troller, and will continue a trend that the company had abandoned for quite some time. In addition, the new Troller will receive a 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine, and its production will be handled entirely by Ford’s own SVT team.
Other rumors claim that the truck is going to be quite advanced in technological terms, with multiple modern gadgets, extra navigation and control features, and a steering wheel packed full of intuitive controls that should make the driving experience smoother and much more relaxed. In addition, Ford are reportedly improving the aesthetics of the vehicle significantly, with a revised interior, more comfortable seats and other features that should make the truck more attractive to buyers looking for a little extra class.
And in the end, the new Bronco/Troller remains just a rumor, and it’s not clear if the device really is coming to the market in 2015, if at all. Ford themselves certainly haven’t been very helpful in this regard, as the company has been characteristically tight-lipped about the situation. Some of the rumors claim to be leaks directly from the company itself, but it’s hard to tell if those have any merit.
Whether or not Ford really are working on a new Bronco, that should become apparent with enough time. However, enthusiastic drivers who’re looking forward to the new model should be careful with getting their hopes up too quickly. It’s entirely possible that all of those rumors will turn out to be false, and that the company is either working on something completely different, or not working on a new truck for 2015 at all.
With the amount of rumors that have been going around regarding the new Bronco though, it would certainly be a major disappointment if in the end it turns out that the company isn’t actually working on a new truck. It would be great to see some of the rumored improvements make their way to the company’s truck lines one way or the other, as critics have been right in their recent claims that Ford have been a bit less active in their truck market than they probably should be.
