Latest Trailer of Avengers 2: Age of Ultron Hints Villain’s Extreme Power, And More

The second and latest trailer of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” released on January 12, 2015 gave a preview of how strong and powerful the nemesis of the band of Marvel superheroes is.

Ultron seemingly overmatches the combined powers and strength of each member of the Avengers in the trailer, which only adds to the excitement and enthusiasm of fans to watch the movie when it hits the theaters on May 1, 2015, notes /Film.

The trailer also gave a glimpse of how Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr. and Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, created Ultron in an attempt to find another support for the Avengers in their never-ending efforts to help people in distress all over the world.

Ultron, voiced by James Spader, turned out to be extremely powerful alright but he had no plans of helping the Avengers in their quest to protect mankind but to destroy them. And he has an army of robots as part of his resources to wage war against the Marvel superheroes. The Artificial Intelligence creation can transform and give life to anything that runs on computers and electronics and turn them into destructive robots.

Exasperated heroes

The first sequences of the trailer showed the Avengers seemingly getting exasperated of defending and coming to the rescue of people over and over again making it appear that their efforts are still not enough to protect the entire world.

There was a shot of the helmet of Captain America and the helmet-less Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, looking forlorn, then of Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, feeling overwhelmed and dejected, and then Tony Stark wanting to find a solution to their dilemma using his brain and technological arsenal to do so.

In search for help, what Tony Stark did, with the help of Bruce Banner, who is the reverse alter ego of the Incredible Hulk, was to create Ultron and the movie storyline takes off from there.

Something or someone missing

While there was a bit of a glimpse of Scarlett Johansson in the second trailer playing Natalia Romanova, a.k.a. the Black Widow, uncharacteristically absent was Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth.

Director Joss Whedon may have thought that the presence of Thor on the trailer would only get in the way of the film premise that he wants to show to movie fans. Exasperated and overmatched with their superhero work on earth, the Avengers need all the help they can get even from God. Thor happens to be a god.

avengers 2

Putting him in the trailer would just put more burning but otherwise whimsical and sometimes no-brainer questions from viewers.

Overall, the second trailer is a blast and delivered what fans have been looking forward to for quite some time. It fuelled excitement to “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and Walt Disney Pictures is sure to cash in on this blockbuster big time come May 2015.
