Orange Is the New Black Season 3 is going to have Ruby Rose joining the girls at the Litchfield Federal Correctional Institution. The Australian model and DJ has been roped in to play the role of an inmate in the popular series. Her character Stella Carlin will draw a lot of attention with her good looks and infectious humor.
In spite of being adapted from the novel ‘Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison’, by Piper Kerman, the series has deviated much from the plot of the book.
The news of Ruby Rose appearing in Orange is the New Black Season 3 came out in Elle Magazine, and Ruby asks her fans to grab a copy immediately to find out more about the casting. The 28-year-old with her sex appeal and good looks will look stunning even in her orange jumpsuit and will be the focus of attention of some inmates. When asked who would get Ruby’s attention, Netflix decided to stay mum. Fans have to wait and watch to see if Piper or Alex is the one giving her attention.
Ruby Rose had given out some details about the casting previously in an Instagram post of her’s, which now looks like a hint. She had posted a photo with a caption reading “I might steal your heart. But I’ll leave your car,” and had her in orange jumpsuits and handcuffs.
Orange Is The New Black Season 3 will see Alex Vause returning as a permanent character. The second season dealt with Piper mentioning Alex’s name in a court session, thus ensuring that Alex lands up in prison. The two are ex-lovers and given the circumstances, it will be interesting to see how they handle their relationship. With the news of Ruby Rose entering the scene as a new inmate, things look interesting.
This season of Orange is the New Black will see Crazy Eyes returning as well. The previous season had seen her emotionally broken down, but she returns stronger. Vee is speculated to appear in Tastee’s flashbacks of her life before prison.
Jenji Kohan, the creator of the series, has also included Lolly (Lori Petty) in Orange is the New Black Season 3. Apart from Petty, actors like Mike Birbiglia, Blair Brown, and Mary Steenburgen are also going to be a part of the new season.
The Netflix comedy-drama will release in June 2015. Orange Is the New Black, based on Piper Kerman’s book, depicts ten years of her life in a woman’s prison. The show has captured the viewers’ heart because of the honest and vivid portrayal of life inside a correction centre.
