Xiaomi Arch to Compete With the Galaxy Note Edge, Tipped To Feature Huge Dual-Curved Edge Display!

Recently, Samsung astonished the world with their current flagship device, the Galaxy Note Edge. It was unveiled during the IFA event in Berlin, Germany. The current-generation flagship device from Samsung is almost similar to all present flagships in terms of blistering fast hardware and cutting-edge technology.

However, what took the world by surprise was the presence of curved edge display. And, from the looks of it, Xiaomi could be offering a similar and a more advanced offering, quite soon.

Recently, a poster of Xiaomi surfaced online carrying with it a name called ‘Arch’ and showcased a unique display feature. Technology media house known as Gizmo China has gotten hold of a secret footage showcasing the Xiaomi Arch smartphone. Xiaomi declared that it intends to invest heavily in India and climb the ranks of the present smartphone market, dominated currently, by Samsung.

Xiaomi is a world-famous smartphone company that is known to take its design and development ideas from many global manufacturers, lately just Apple. However, if recent rumors are true, the manufacturer has started breathing over Samsung’s shoulder already. The latest concept of the Xiaomi Arch has leaked online, and users and fans are getting ready for a whole new experience. Seemingly, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is working on a Galaxy Note Edge-type smartphone.

It is being called the Xiaomi Arch and from the looks of it, the device features a dual-curved edge display. The screen is curved on both the left and the right sides. The other features of this device include a Mi Logo on the top left corner, a front-facing camera to the left and a speaker grille in the center position.

Located at the bottom are three capacitive keys- home, the back button and recent apps. There are certain benefits of a dual curved edge display. Users will be able to position easy-to-access shortcuts on the edges. If the rumors are justified, Xiaomi could become the first dual-edge display device manufacturer in the world.

The phone will display active notifications as well as the shortcuts menus on the edges. A single screen could be utilized for the purposes of live-streaming stocks information, game updates and much more. Being a premium device like this, people are currently wondering if Xiaomi will be able to keep it a budget offering like it usually does.

The entire thing appears to be a complete concept at the present, so no one is sure whether Xiaomi is developing it or thinking about its release. On a more disappointing side, it could all be the wild dream of a Xiaomi fan-boy, predicting a dual-edge smartphone display. In other news, Xiaomi will soon launch the MiPad 2 and the Mi5 during the CES trade show scheduled for next week. Stay tuned for now!
