Arrow Season 3 promises to introduce fans of the series to some new and interesting characters such as General Matthew Shrieve while marking the return of a few known names such as Count Vertigo and Slade Wilson. Arrow Season 3 is scheduled to return to the CW sometime this year, although, the release date is uncertain at the moment.
There are certain series that are known for not listening to their fan’s demands and continuing with the same policy over time, because they have pre-defined plans. Arrow is one of those series! Initially, the fans had not expected Oliver and Felicity to fall in love, but that is what the makers had in mind.
Even though the duo was officially yet to be a couple all along, we see Oliver confess his love for Felicity at the end of the last episode. Things would have been smooth from now on, but a teaser clip for Season 2 shows that Oliver Queen is dead, and the League of Assassins are out looking for his body.
The fact that they are still looking for his remains is indicative of Oliver Queen being alive, although, the creators are yet to let out a hint. Hence, the best we can do at the moment, is speculate about the scenario. Arrow Season 2 airs on January 21st, 2015 while fans are not sure whether they can live without their hero.
The teaser also shows that Felicity is unaware of Oliver’s absence, but Emily Bett Rickards revealed that Miss Smoak spends the major part of the mid-season premiere episode in tears. She is trying to get used to the fact that Oliver Queen is dead and fails to fight back her tears. With the fate of ‘Olicity’ in the dark, fans are hoping that the Green Arrow returns from the dead unscathed and this might be possible with indications of the Lazarus Pit being introduced sometimes along this season.
Arrow Season 3 features numerous flashbacks, most of which portrays the story of Matthew Shrieve, the leader of a group who call themselves Creature Commandos. Shrieve plays an important role this season and the fans are advised to stay glued to their television sets this 21st!
