Mortal Kombat is one of the most well known fighting games of all time! The game first hit the market back in 1992 and many sequels have been released since then. Mortal Kombat was originally going to be a game that featured the action fighting of Jean-Claude Van Damme, but when that fell through, the two developers had to come up with a different approach. The fantasy fighting game was born and next year marks the tenth edition of the popular fighting game.
Mortal Kombat X is not going to be released for a little while yet, but according to reports from this week, the game makers are going to be revealing a big piece of information next month. Most of the gaming world is expecting to see a new character or two, but nothing has been confirmed at this point. The game has a list of character names that just every fighting game player has heard at some point in his life. One of the most popular would be Sub-Zero.
With the big announcement coming next month presumably being about a new character, groups of fans have taken to the internet to speculate what names they will see on the character list this time around. According to one online source, the new character is going to be a ninja, in fact, at least two ninjas are going to be added to the main character list. The ninja characters that have joined the game since fir original, have proven to be quite successful for the game makers.
Sub-Zero and Scorpion are for sure going to be in the game and a few others have been confirmed throughout this year, including Goro, Cassie Cage, Kotal Khan, Kano, Quan Chi, Ferra/Torr and D’Vorrah. That is a pretty good list so far, but with any other game, the players want to see more. Some of the more popular suggestions include The Predator, Ashely J. Williams from Evil Dead, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and even Michael Jackson from Moonwalker.
It would be pretty neat to see some cameos of the more popular names out there, but the odds are slim that the developers are going to build them into the game. For now, it is all speculation until the big reveal next month. Right after that the pre-orders will start as the game is expected to hit stores on the 14th of April, so that gives players plenty of time to sit around and dream about new characters in their favorite, bloody fighting game.
