You can always find a clue for every working title of Captain America 3. In this case, Captain America 3 goes by the name of “Sputnik”. A lot of speculations have been building up for a long time regarding this upcoming movie. Recently, the so-called ‘Sony Hack’ turned the whole Internet upside down. However, when you take a look at the title Sputnik, you are bound to think of the Soviet Union and The Winter Soldier.
Therefore, in spite of the official title, these are what the story/plot could lay emphasis on. In The Marvel comic version, Civil War deals with the Superhuman Registration Act, which starts a feud between the two famous Avengers- Iron Man played by Robert Downey Jr. and Captain America played by Chris Evans. In the meantime, Spiderman plays the role of a confused superhero that isn’t sure as to which side he should take.
However, if we completely analyze the working title for Captain America, a whole different speculated reason would trigger a war between Iron Man and Captain America in ‘Captain America 3’. This should be the main plot that revolves around the ‘Captain America 3’ storyline. In the first sequel, there was a working title called ‘Frostbite’.
It told us about the story of Steve Rogers and also the search-and-rescue project involving the S.H.I.E.L.D in finding out Captain America. Similarly, in the second installment, ‘Freezer Burn’ was the working title, which later gave rise to the movie plot of ‘The Winter Soldier’. It was a titular role played by Sebastian Stan.
Earlier, Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes were considered to be dead after the events of World War II. However, the 70 years later, both friends met again but this time as enemies. Steve Rogers played Captain America, the savior of mankind while Barnes was an enhanced and brainwashed Assassin.
In the upcoming title, ‘Sputnik’ could provide a clue on the plot of Captain America 3. For people who are not aware, ‘Sputnik’ is the name of Soviet Union’s first Space Mission. As a result, we can figure out the Winter Soldier connection.
We are all aware that Bucky Barnes was transformed into The Winter Solider during World War II, by the Soviet Union. In the meantime, Marvel has also confirmed the return of ‘Winter Soldier’ in Captain America 3.
Recently, Sony released a fourth round of leaked files online. A lot of private emails from Sony Pictures Co-Chairman Amy Pascal were provided in the latest leak. The Wall Street Journal reported that the emails were an exchange between Marvel and Sony over the usage of Spider Man in Captain America 3. The upcoming movie from Disney is due to release in theaters on 6th May, 2016.
