Matthew McConaughey Encourages His Fellow Stars at Hollywood to Accept Trump as Their President Instead of Being Against Him

According to Mathew McConaughey, the attitude of his fellow Hollywood actors towards Donald Trump could be improved for the better. In a recent interview, the actor urged his colleagues to “embrace” the idea of Trump as president because he is not going anywhere. So, his reasonably justified advise to them it to accept the fact and get over it.

McConaughey told to ChannelFI recently that we don’t have a choice now, plus he also stated that it is a very dynamic and divisive of an “inauguration” and time that we have had. So according to him we should accept the fact and “shake hands” with it.

As it can only help things if we are constructive in our attitude towards him for the next four years. The 47-year-old actor who has a new movie Gold recently released said, it’s okay to not see eye to eye strongly with some of Trump’s policies. However, it’s also important to wait and see how his first term in office pans out.

So he shared that no matter how much a person might disagree with what he has said or done in the past, or with his principles in general; they should give Trump the benefit of the doubt and observe and compare what he does with what he has said. As to look at it sensibly there isn’t any other option now but to start thinking of him in a constructive way regardless of how much you disagree with him.

While his fellow stars are mostly against Donald Trump, Matthew McConaughey on being asked why he is taking the accepting attitude towards Trump simply replied that he feels so because the current reality is this that Trump is America’s president for the next four years, at least. He also implied, that nothing is to be done now, for Trump is thePresident of the United States of America.

Although admittedly, at first sight, it is very hard to love McConaughey on hearing such comment, however, it’s also not easy to provide a reaction where you completely disregard the sense and logic in McConaughey’s words. You have to praise the actor for breaking out of the conventional Hollywood stance and being supportive towards the present administration.

After all that Matthew McConaughey’s words distils down to is simply this, that the actor is telling people to make the best of the current situation. As far as conventional wisdom goes this is the simplest to grasp, is it not?

While the attitude of the majority of the media, the press and those inside the White House still reflects that it is unconventionally difficult for someone to work with Donald Trump, especially in the way the Matthew McConaughey seems to be suggesting. Staffers have been trying to bring Trump under control, but the results have been futile thus far.

McConaughey's urges Hollywood to 'embrace' Trump

So, own despite the factMcConaughey’s message is commendable in it; chances are he’s not able to look at the bigger picture. The bigger picture is that, Hollywood is basically saying that we have a President that is incapable to be the President; and that we should be concentrating our efforts on get rid of him before he does some consequential damage to the world, if he hasn’t done so already.

This week in a conversation with the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show, host Andrew Marr drew up comparisons between the characters in McConaughey’s new movie Gold to not Trump’s America, but said that this is small-time, central redneck America going up against the snobbish East Coast and the privileged.
