The producers of “Fast & Furious 7” have just released a small new teaser for their fans, showing Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto applying wrist bandages, apparently preparing to get in a fight. The character is dressed in a white t-shirt with a blue shirt, and the scene seems to be taking place in a somewhat dark garage, filled to the brim with various car parts. There’s also a photo showing some other characters on a table next to Diesel, although he doesn’t seem to be focused on it at the moment of the picture.
This isn’t the first teaser from the film – far from it in fact, as Vin Diesel has been quite active in promoting the new production, teasing with various pictures from it any chance he could get. He previously showed another picture in which his character was wearing the same clothes, tilting his head down. It’s not known if the two scenes are related or if they will be spread apart in the film, as plot details remain unknown at this point.
There are a few details known, although the producers have been keeping their mouths tightly shut for the most part. For example, it’s been confirmed that the new film will be a direct sequel to “Fast & Furious 6”, continuing the story from the moment the original ended. Han was killed in the last film, and one of the most prominent theories about the new installment is that Dominic’s gang will be looking for the killer, for the obvious purpose of extracting revenge.
Ian Shaw, the main villain of the film, will be played by Jason Statham, who has also been involved in some teasers about the new film recently. Statham’s character also has some very personal motivation for his actions in the new film, as his brother was originally killed by Dominic (perhaps unsurprisingly, Ian Shaw’s brother was Owen Shaw, the main villain of the previous film).
So far, it seems that the writers have been putting a lot of effort into the character development of the new film, which is a nice continuation of that trend from the previous installments in the series. There’s definitely a lot of potential for making the characters even deeper and more interesting by twisting their stories around each other with some personal motivations, and the series as a whole has been known for doing exactly that quite often. So, fans who’ve been fond of that style so far, should definitely enjoy what’s coming in “Fast & Furious 7” – although it seems like there’s still quite a bit of work left to go on the new film.
