New Prison Break Series Draws a Lot of Attention from Fans, Can the Show’s Revival Really Work?

There has been a lot of talk about the possible resurrection of “Prison Break” over the years, and now that we know for a fact that it’s coming, some fans have been a bit worried about how things are going to go and how the producers are going to handle the new design direction. In fact, the overall direction of the show has been under question for some fans, as many are wondering if it will manage to retain the magic of the original, and what kinds of changes we can expect to see.

A recent teaser for the new series gave hope to many fans, judging by responses so far, and it looks like the producers have managed to strike all the right chords. We got to see definite proof that Michael Scofield is alive and well, although he now has to face a challenging breakout. Hopefully things won’t get too stale on that front, as some fans have been wondering if the whole breakout theme hasn’t been a bit overdone at this point.

We’re going to see T-Bag and Sara returning, and it looks like the producers are trying to tie the show’s new season to its roots as best as possible. There were various other hints about possible references to the past all throughout the new trailer as well, and it’s quite obvious that the producers are putting a lot of effort into making the new series a familiar experience for anyone who loved the original show.

There is one potential problem on the horizon for them, however – it’s been quite a while since we saw the last installment of the original “Prison Break”. The show started all the way back in 2005 and ran for four seasons before it was canceled, disappointing many of its dedicated followers.

A feature-length film that was produced after the show’s cancellation didn’t console fans very well, and it was made clear that the only way the producers could win back their fans’ trust would be a true continuation of the main series itself.

Fans have also made it crystal clear throughout the years that they would love to see the show returning, but it’s also noticeable that the number of those supportive voices has been going further and further down with each passing year. With that in mind, some are worried that there might not be anyone left around to watch the new season once it arrives.

However, recent market research made it evident that this is quite far from the truth, as there is in fact very strong interest in a possible continuation of “Prison Break”. Polls resulted in overwhelming support for the show’s revival, and the producers pretty much have their work cut out for them at this point.

Of course, it’s also very important how exactly they’re going to handle that revival, and what kinds of changes we’re going to see in the new series. Confirming the return of some beloved old characters was nice enough for a start, but fans will want to see more in order to have full confidence in the future of “Prison Break”.

Prison Break Season 5

Another question looming in the air is what will happen to the production beyond the upcoming new season. While many fans are obviously hopeful that the showrunners will extend their work even further, there don’t seem to be any plans in place for that right now. Does this mean that we’re going to see the story wrapped up entirely by the end of season 5?
