The final season of “Teen Wolf” is shaping up to be its best yet and the latest episode is proof that things are finally moving in a climatic direction.
The latest episode finally gives a back story on Mr. Douglas. It turns out, he has been alive since the time of the Nazis and has encountered the ghost riders but couldn’t defeat them.
Thanks to Theo giving out information in exchange of breaking Kira’s sword, he reveals that Mr. Douglas is a lowenmensch – half lion, half werewolf. He says that he is a very powerful creature but has been living to figure out to take down the ghost riders ever since.
Theo further reveals that he went to the Dread Doctors and allowed them to experiment on him so that he could be strong enough to defeat the ghost riders. As experiments of the masked doctors, that’s how they know each other so well.
However, Mason, Liam, and Hayden, upon recalling that their professor took the rider’s whip, soon realize that Mr. Douglas does not just want to defeat the ghost riders, he wants to build an army of his own.
Meanwhile, Scott, Lydia, and Malia find the rift to open to the other side where Stiles and the other prisoners of the ghost riders are.
Argent and Mellissa are also on a mission of their own by looking into the ghost rider Mr. Douglas recently killed. However, the Nazi werewolf catches them and forces them to tell where Parrish is.
When the pair led him to where the Hellhound is being kept, he whips Argent and Mellissa erasing them from Beacon Hills. The same thing also happens to Hayden and Corey when the ghost riders come to the police station and wipe the town almost empty.
Scott, Lydia, and Malia go down to the bunker since they know the rift is there, but Mr. Douglas was already one step ahead of them.
He fights the three with the Hellhound and ghost riders in tow. Parrish opens the rift and closes it before anyone else except the Nazi werewolf can get in.
Lydia and Liam head outside the bunker, while Malia and Scott fight off the ghost riders. Just when the two were close to being taken, Peter comes in and sacrifices himself so that Scott and his daughter can escape.
Liam and Lydia then encounter a ghost rider, but Lydia was able to save both of them when the ghost rider looked scared of her. It can be recalled that when Lydia, Malia, Scott visited Canaan, Lenore revealed that the evil riders don’t take banshees leaving her all alone in the town.
With all the action happening around town, Sheriff Stilinski is dealing with a problem of his own. He’s finally started to remember Stiles little by little.
Through the red string, he was able to remember and Stiles’ room slowly comes back. He also sees a photo of young Stiles and Claudia with the latter in a hospital patient suit.
The sheriff attempts to explain to his wife that they did have a son. He eventually realizes that his wife is already dead for over a decade so she does know what happened to Stiles around that period.
The sheriff breaks down upon realizing that he indeed conjured his wife to fill a void and upon accepting that Stiles is real, Claudia simply vanishes.
Scott is then devastated knowing that her mom has been taken and that he, Liam, Lydia, and Malia are the only ones left in Beacon Hills.
