Acting has been good to Ben Affleck and her estranged wife Jennifer Garner. It was the very profession where they met, fell in love, and got married. But they parted ways in June last year after 10 years of blissful marriage that was blessed with three beautiful kids.
While being an actor runs in the genes of his three kids, namely Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4, because of their parents, Ben Affleck does not want all of his kids to follow his and Jennifer’s footsteps into the craft.
In a recent pronouncement, the “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” actor said that he would hope and discourage his kids from becoming actors like himself and his estranged wife.
He explained that he would not allow them to do acting until his kids are already 18, adding that when his kids are already on their proper ages, they can do whatever they want to do.
However, he insists that he would discourage them to go into acting even if his kids are already on their ripe ages to decide on their own.
An overnight success
Ben Affleck shot to stardom after the release of the film “Good Will Hunting” back in 1997 which won an Academy Award.
He explained that he went overnight from somebody no one ever heard of to somebody that gets recognized on the street and could get a table at a restaurant better than ordinary folks.
Affleck said that he was 24 years old then and it was a confusing time. He added that he got three kids now, and it’s a whole long road later.
He explained that he has a much better perspective on it all, although it still can be confusing and difficult to deal with but there’s no map to it, and one has just got to figure it out on his own, reports Life & Style.
Made a lot of mistakes
Ben Affleck admitted that he made a lot of mistakes in the initial years of his success in showbiz. The “Argo” star said becoming famous at a young age made things very tough for him, details The Indian Express.
He revealed that he always had a strong idea about his values and the direction he wanted to be headed in, then he ran into getting famous and it totally spun him around and he flailed around for a few years.
The actor said that for a young man in his 20s, part of that is making mistakes and learning from them.
He did not say if one of those mistakes is getting separated with Jennifer Garner as there have been rumors that circulated last year that the actress was pregnant with a fourth child even though she and Ben Affleck have already parted ways in 2015.
In a joint statement at the end of June 2015, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced they were calling it quits. At the time, a source spoke about the former couple’s relationship and confirmed they had actually spent the previous 10 months apart as part of a trial separation.
Despite the announcement of their plans for divorce, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have continued to be targeted with rumors of a possible reunion for the past several months and due to their regular outings as a family, the rumors continued.
As for Garner’s alleged pregnancy, the source went on to claim that the former couple conceived their child earlier last year in Europe.
The source claimed that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner conceived the baby while he was working on the movie “Justice League” in London. The source added that Ben and Jennifer had begun spending more time together romantically and Garner realized there was still a lot of love between the two of them.
However, Gossip Cop, later on, came out to report that another source stated that it is not true that Jennifer Garner was pregnant with a fourth child with Ben Affleck.
On the possibility of the rekindling of romance between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, it was actually the close friends of the “Ain’t Your Mama” hitmaker who were pushing it because they wanted to see the songstress become part of a superstar couple again.
