‘Jurassic World 2’ to Explore the Genetic Makeup of the Indominus Rex; Possible Human DNA on the Dinosaur Rumored!

Director J. A. Bayona has released a few hints about the highly anticipated sequel to the sci-fi thriller dinosaur movie “Jurassic World” after the success its success when it was released in June of 2015, all the way to becoming the fourth-highest grossing movie of all time.

Reports have it that the story of “Jurassic World 2” could possibly meet fans’ expectations in addition to a possible out-of-this-world plot twist that would surprise fans all the more and add to the overall excitement of the sequel.

It has already been announced since 2015 that Collin Trevorrow, who directed the “Jurassic World,” will be passing the torch to J. A. Bayona, who is faced with an unenviable task of coming up with something that will match if not surpass the first movie.

But Trevorrow also said that he will be working with J.A. Bayona and Derek Conolly to finalize the script of “Jurassic World 2.”

There was a report released by Den of Greek that Trevorrow plans to go beyond the island theme park concept for the sequel. This could mean that the production might explore a different environment like exposing the genetically-modified dinosaurs in the city or suburbs.

In “Jurassic World,” it has been mentioned that the Indominus Rex was designed to be used as a weapon of war of certain organizations which will likely be divulged in “Jurassic World 2.”

But there is still a big question that the film left unanswered and that is how the Indominus Rex, a 50-feet genetically-modified hybrid predator dinosaur, was created.

The genetic makeup of the Indominus Rex has never been explained in the first movie and it looks like it would be revealed in the sequel.

But the movie did mention that the Indominus Rex has a DNA of a raptor especially in the scene where Owen Grady, played by Chris Pratt, realized that the Indominus Rex is part-raptor.

As a dinosaur whisperer, Owen Grady has noticed that the raptors were somewhat communicating with the Indominus Rex. So he came up with a plan to lure the Indominus Rex away

But his plan went in disarray when the four raptors turned to them instead after they realized that they have found a bigger Alpha in the Indominus Rex so they run after Owen, Claire, and the two kids instead.

But the film ended without really exploring the Indominus Rex’s whole genetic makeup. But since “Jurassic World 2” is already in the pre-production stage, reports have it that the narrative could possibly tackle its DNA which could finally end the rumored theories that have been circulating online since 2015.

While the answer to the question remains hanging in the air, there are already speculations saying that the Indominus Rex may have had a human DNA which makes a compelling point because of its intelligence, shown particularly in the scene where it made scratches on the wall to make the team believe that it already escaped. As it turned out, it was just the strategy of the dinosaur to get people into his cage so that he can find a way out.

According to a production source, Collin Trevorrow cited Dr. Alan Grant’s line from the original “Jurassic Park” film where he indicated that dinosaurs and men are two species separated by 65 million years of evolution which have been thrown back into the mix together.

Perhaps, there is already a bit of possibility that the idea is blending human and dinosaur DNA to create a genetically-engineered intelligent but killer dinosaur.

That could be a good possibility notwithstanding the behavior of the Indominus Rex towards the end of the movie where the dinosaur remembered where its tracker was located and removed it so that he can not be tracked.
