Celebrity A-Listers Come in Droves in the Obamas’ Final Star-Studded Party at the White House!

Incoming US President Donald Trump may have a lot to catch up with outgoing President Barack Obama and his family when it comes to hosting a star-studded party in the White House and the last bash of the Obamas held on January 6 seemed to have accentuated their advantage further.

The White House bash on January 6 has shown a great number of stars from Hollywood and the music industry converging to toast and bid their respective adieus to the eight years of presidency of Barack Obama.

The A-listers came in droves and the star-studded party lasted all the way until four in the morning of the following day, reports the Daily Mail of UK.

Among the A-listers seen were Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Paul McCartney, Kelly Rowland, Stevie Wonder, Chrissy Teigen, Jay Z, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Oprah Winfrey, Jill Scott, Tyler Perry, Nick Jonas, Wale, and a lot more.

Most of the celebrities claimed that they went to the White House party just to say their farewell to Obama, whom Chance the Rapper, described on social media as the greatest president in the US history.

The strictly VIP guests were prevented from recording inside the party where Barack and Michelle served chicken and waffles to weary partygoers in the early hours of Saturday morning.

But that didn’t stop A-list attendees from spilling the beans and their selfies to social media revealing how many of the Hollywood elite turned out to say goodbye to the beloved first family.

Dominating the dance floor

Pharrell and Solange were said to have performed at the event and President Obama was rumored to have dominated the dance floor with the likes of Robert De Niro, Common, and Usher.

Solange, the sister of Beyonce, said that the event was truly the ultimate honor both for them and the outgoing president. She said on her social media post that they will miss Obama’s excellence, grace, and the phenomenal legacy he has let everyone to share.

The bash was well attended by artists, philanthropists, activists, and executives, many of whom made the trip to Washington D.C. just to say their farewells to Barack and Michelle.

Also in attendance were Bradley Cooper, Magic Johnson, and Charles Barkley, who was seen chatting beneath a portrait of Abraham Lincoln.

The evening was likely bittersweet for the first family. According to White House Press Secretary, the bash is something that they’ve done in the past and something they anticipated because they know how well-loved Obama is as President of the US for eight years or two four-year terms.

Dealing with it emotionally

Many celebrities found the evening emotional as they have to face the impending loss of Obama in the oval office.

Comedian and TV host Billy Eichner posted a touching tribute to the President on his Instagram after getting the opportunity to discuss Obama’s work with the LGBT community.

Eichner said that Obama told him that it was one of the things he’s most proud of but there is still a lot of things to be done. In turn, Eichner told Obama that they will love and appreciate him forever.

He added that setting aside for a moment the sadness and anger he feels about the next administration, he considered the occasion as one of the greatest moments and nights of his life.

During her final public remarks on that very same morning of the White House bash, First Lady Michelle Obama was in the East Room where she hosted 50 school counselors and several stars at the 2017 School Counselor of the Year event.

She admitted that she and the President roll pretty deep when it comes to entertaining A-list guests.

She also said that her time spent as the First Lady has been the greatest honor of her life, and to her supporters, she hoped to have made them proud.

The Obamas were reported to have paid for the bill of the White House bash themselves.
