The mid-season finale of Big Bang Theory Season 8 involved a rather holiday-themed episode with a lot of sweet and sentimental moments. We also saw Howard, Leonard and Raj trying to comically remove a pigeon out of the university lab and Sheldon’s amazing plot to ruin Christmas for Amy with an exceptional gift.
Sheldon made it clear before that he greatly hates Christmas. Therefore, when Amy forced him to attend her traditional Victorian-themed Christmas dinner, he was pretty annoyed. As a result, Sheldon tried to ruin Amy’s Christmas Dinner by presenting her an awesome heartwarming Christmas gift even after they decided not to exchange any. His ‘diabolical’ planned involved surprising Amy with an amazing gift and making her feel guilty for not getting him any presents in return.
Meanwhile, Leonard and Howard got into trouble while trying to celebrate Christmas Eve in their University’s lab. In a bizarre turn-out of events, they had to call Raj in order to help them remove a pigeon from their clean room. However, after they successfully got rid of the bird, a crow flies in as one of them accidentally left the door open.
In the end, they decide to go along with Penny’s advice and erase all of the evidence in the clean room, leaving it in disarray. After arriving at Amy’s Christmas Dinner, they witness Sheldon presenting his gift to Amy, which contains a picture of him sitting on the lap of Santa Claus positioned inside of a musical frame. As a result, Amy completely adores the gift. To annoy Sheldon even further, she doesn’t feel guilty or regretful and presents Sheldon with a gift in return.
Sheldon opens the gift and finds that Amy has baked him his favorite cookies using the special Christmas recipe of his Meemaw. Both Sheldon and Amy are happy, and he says that the cookies taste just like her hugs. The next episode in Big Bang Theory Season 8 is scheduled to premiere on January 8 and is titled, The Space Probe Disintegration.
According to Carter Matt, the synopsis mentions that when the guys try to do something that the girl’s like, it always leads to a confrontation between Sheldon and Leonard. Get ready for the 12th episode on January 8 at 8pm on CBS.
In the extended synopsis, it has been revealed that Leonard and Sheldon will take the girls out for shopping and will start talking about the compromises they keep making for each other.
However, in the end, they understand how much they mean to each other while Sheldon permits Leonard to take his relationship forward with Penny. Raj and Howard get some quality time together when the latter takes Raj to a temple in order to calm him down regarding a Space Probe Experiment.
