However, there are also sources saying that Selena Gomez did not only consider admitting herself in rehab to recover from her illness, but also to veer away from her toxic relationship with her former boyfriend.
Contrary to speculations, it is now nearly impossible for Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber to reconcile and rekindle their romance especially after what the “Purpose” did during her short-lived relationship with 18-year-old Sofia Richie, the daughter of singer Lionel Richie.
It can be recalled that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had been into an on-and-off relationship during their collective four years as a couple.
An unreciprocated feeling
There are also reports saying that Selena Gomez’s main reason to check herself into rehab recently is because Justin Bieber keeps hurting her even though they are no longer a couple.
Apparently, despite her love for Justin Bieber when they were still a couple, it seemed just like a game for the “Sorry” singer and Selena Gomez just feels bad that her feelings for him are unreciprocated.
The family of Selena Gomez also knows how much Justin Bieber hurt her so when she checked herself into rehab, they advised her not to ever communicate again with Justin Bieber.
According to several reports, the “Kill ‘Em with Kindness” singer was allegedly doing insane things before she checked herself into rehab last August.
Months before, Selena Gomez has reportedly been into reckless partying including drinking and smoking weeds especially after seeing Justin Bieber’s Instagram post with Sofia Richie who was then his girlfriend.
A creepy thing to do
Some of her friends also confirmed that Selena Gomez used to send photos of her and Justin Bieber together. These friends described Selena’s gesture as creepy because she could not do anything but blabber about her moments with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
Some sources are also saying that Selena Gomez was obsessed about their relationship that she can’t stop herself looking at their old pictures together and suddenly feels good about it. Critics describe it as even worse than her usual behavior.
Her friends are convinced that the songstress is still madly in love with the “Cold Water” singer.
In fact, Selena Gomez had been also caught by her friends stalking Justin Bieber’s personal life through social media. It was in social media where they had their most recent war prior to Selena checking herself into rehab.
This year’s brouhaha between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez was also in stark contrast to last year when the “I’ll Show You” singer was caught serenading Selena Gomez with his rendition of “My Girl” at Montage in Beverly Hills.
Early this year, the two seemingly has opened an avenue towards rekindling their relationship when Justin Bieber suddenly reminisced and posted on Instagram an old photo with him and Selena Gomez and captioning it with ‘feels.’
Justin Bieber’s social media post sparked curiosity and speculations among fans that the two had gotten back together already.
But it seems clear now that there was no rekindling of romance that happened last year and also this year between Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber.
There are also reports saying that Selena Gomez hates all the posts of Justin Bieber on Instagram and Twitter especially when she sees him posting fun and happy pictures with Sofia Richie back then.
Some weeks prior to her rehabilitation, Selena Gomez got into a serious yet ghoulish exchange of comments on Instagram with Justin Bieber which caused her anxiety and depression.
The social media dispute between Selena and Justin began when the “What Do You Mean” singer seemed to be showing off Sofia Richie too much that it really piqued the “Good For You” singer.
