As various details about the plot of “Justice League” have been making their way to the public, other pieces of information are still the subject of much speculation among fans, and it doesn’t look like we’re going to get a clear answer anytime soon. Still, some of the recent revelations have apparently been enough to keep fans occupied in their ongoing discussions about the film.
One of the more interesting bits we’ve learned is that we’re going to see Superman and Batman struggling with each other for the position of the Justice League’s leader, and it looks like it’s going to be an intense competition between the two of them.
We’ve already seen a pretty strong indication that the role of the leader is actually meant for Batman, but that could be a huge ruse leading up to a surprise from the producers. It would make perfect sense to show a power struggle as a major element of the new film’s plot too, as it would introduce some interesting dynamics between the characters.
It would also be interesting to see how the revival of Superman is going to be handled in the new film, as that’s another point fans have been discussing quite actively in recent times. While some were clearly surprised that Superman is coming back, others didn’t see it as that unpredictable of a development, and in fact it looks like the larger portion of the audience was well aware of what was coming up.
Henry Cavill also recently gave an interview in which he confirmed that the power struggle between his character and Batman will be quite the severe one, and he sounded excited to be taking part in that struggle.
Other celebrities have been speaking out about the upcoming production as well, and overall there seems to be a sense of desire to create something truly fun and exciting, matching the inherent nature of the characters themselves.
It’s worth noting that things on the cinematic front around Superman and Batman have been getting more and more serious in recent years, and it does look like the characters have lost some of their cheek-in-tongue humor that was so prevalent in the original comic books. With that in mind, it would be a nice refreshing change of scenery to see the producers taking things back to their roots for that installment, and exploring some of the more classic aspects of their characters.
We’ve seen some additional reports indicating that the new film is going to change the overall tone of things a bit, so it does seem like the producers are going to move in a new direction. According to those reports, the change is apparently mostly inspired by the relatively poor performance of recent releases like “Suicide Squad”.
Some fans are also curious about The Flash, a character that has always had a peculiar place in the whole character roster. It does look like the producers acknowledge his awkward, occasionally annoying personality, so it will be interesting to see if they play into that even more this time.
There are even some suspicions that we might see him in a more central role this time, with a more prominent place in the plot. However, this mostly seems to be based on speculation among fans and not on any actual rumors, so it’s hard to say if fans should expect a more central position for The Flash in “Justice League”. It does look like it would be a good move though, judging by what fans have been saying.
