Prison Break Season 5 Might See T-Bag Betray Michael, Upcoming Season Up For A Spring Premier, Will Lincoln Die? Let’s See

Prison Break Season 5 is set to premier in 2017. Yes, you read that right! However, the fans are slightly disappointed since they don’t have a date for the release of the much-anticipated show. If rumors are to be believed, Prison Break Season 5 will premier around Spring in the coming year.

The writers from the fifth season of Prison Break have been keeping the fans updated with the latest news. The writers have encouraged questions from the fans and have answered them all.

When fans asked about what they could expect from the premier of Season 5, the writers informed that the first episode of Prison Break Season 5 would show Lincoln deciding to lead his life without his friends.

When fans enquired how different Lincoln’s life would be without Sofie and LJ, the writers said that the query would be answered once Season 5 of Prison Break releases. The writers added that the first episode of Prison Break Season 5 would respond to the question.

News Everyday reported that neither Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner) nor Donald Self (Michael Rapaport) would return for Season 5 of Prison Break. The reason as stated by Digital Spy seems to be the writer, Paul Scheuring’s inability to think of a strong plot for them.

While these two characters won’t be added to the roster of Prison Break Season 5, a new gay character called Sid would be introduced. He will be played by Kunal Sharma and will play a significant role in the upcoming season.

When Season 4 ended with Michael Scofield’s (Wentworth Miller) death, fans were sure that the series has reached a closure and were ready to move on. However, given the popularity that the show enjoyed, the producers realized that ending with only four seasons wasn’t a good decision and that is when they got the ball rolling.

With both Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller ready to come back, Season 5 of Prison Break was on the right track. Paul Scheuring will be back for the first episode of Season 5 and will create a framework for the other writers to develop on in the coming episodes.

With Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield back, the writers had to bring in Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies). Tripped Media reports that everyone had believed that Michael was dead. However, Lincoln realizes that Michael is alive, but behind bars and that is when they get the old team together to try and carry out the biggest escape ever.

The old gang including T-Bag (Robert Knepper), C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar) and Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) will come back to reprise their role in Prison Break Season 5.

iTech Post reported that Michael’s supposed death and resurrection might have something to do with his association with the US government. Rumors suggest that Michael is working for the US government and the report of his death was spread to prevent people from looking for him.

If fans are still worried that Michael’s resurrection might just be a rumor, they will be happy to know that Gary Newman, the CEO of Fox has himself confirmed that Michael and Lincoln would both be back for Prison Break Season 5.

Dana Walden, the CEO of Fox, added that the fifth season will be a sequel and will start off exactly from where the finale of Season 4 had ended. Season 5 will have a different story arc, and Paul Scheuring has everything chalked out for the ten episodes. Scheuring has confirmed that the initial episodes will answer all the queries that the fans have.
