Clash of Clans Getting more Units from Clash Royale, Balance Changes Coming Up

The relationship between “Clash of Clans” and “Clash Royale” is quite the interesting one. “Clash of Clans” was first to the market, and “Clash Royale” was a spin-off, but the latter game managed to gain a lot more popularity than its predecessor, ultimately becoming the top game of 2016 for both Google and Apple.

The development of “Clash Royale” has influenced its “parent” game as well, and we’ve already seen various units from the newer game making their way into the original. Recent reports indicate that this is going to happen again soon, as an upcoming update for the strategy game is going to expand its unit roster with a few new additions.

At least one new building will be added as well, and the game will receive support for Virtual Reality, allowing players to experience it like never before. It would be interesting if we could see the epic fights through a perspective similar to the 3D teaser that was released recently, and it looks like that might be exactly what the developers are aiming for.

We don’t know which units specifically are targeted for inclusion in “Clash of Clans” yet, but there are lots of possibilities. “Clash Royale” is currently in the process of getting some new units itself, so it would be interesting to see some crossovers between the two new games with their new content.

Some rumors point towards the Lumberjack and the Mini P.E.K.K.A as possible candidates, and they would both make sense in the context of the gameplay in “Clash of Clans”. The Lumberjack in particular would be interesting to see if he retained his unique gameplay mechanic, although some players are worried that it might make him too powerful in that game.

The Electro Wizard is among the more interesting new characters making their way to “Clash Royale”, and some fans of the game’s strategic counterpart have been wondering if his mechanics could work well in it as well.

In addition, there is some speculation that mechanics such as “legendary” cards could also be introduced to “Clash of Clans”, but details on that are still conflicting and hard to sort out. Fans should keep an eye on the official channels for Supercell though, as the studio is quite open about their plans lately.

“Clash of Clans” is still going strong despite being a few years old at this point, and it doesn’t look like the studio has any intention of slowing things down around the game’s development anytime soon. They’ve been pushing quite hard to make it even more popular around the world, and we’ve seen some interesting promotional campaigns for it lately.

However, there’s no denying that “Clash Royale” still managed to become a lot more popular very quickly, and the game has been enjoying a lot more support from the studio as a result. Hardly anyone can blame them though, since at this point the game has become a money press and it doesn’t look like things are going to slow down anytime soon.

Hopefully Supercell are going to continue crossing the two games and carrying over features from one to the other, as this synergy has been working out quite well so far, and it’s worked in favor of both titles. It’s even easy to argue that some of the more interesting mechanics introduced to “Clash of Clans” lately wouldn’t have been possible if they didn’t appear in “Clash Royale” first.
