There’s been a lot of commotion around “Dance Moms”, as the future of the show remained unclear to its fans. Many were seemingly convinced that the legal troubles surrounding Abby Lee Miller would be the end of the production, and it looks like they may not have been too far off.
A recent social media post by the star seems to imply that things are about to come to an end for “Dance Moms”, and it’s received a lot of attention from both the community as well as the press. However, some claim that the post just served to add to the confusion instead of helping clear things up, and a lot remains unclear about what will happen to both the show and its stars later on.
On the other hand, some are interpreting Miller’s post a bit differently. She doesn’t directly state that the show will actually be taken off the air, which led many to believe that she could be talking about her own personal issues with those words.
The star does seem to still be in deep legal trouble, and she’s likely facing jail time in the future as a result of her actions. Whether that would be enough to kill the whole production or not is hard to say, but we’ve seen shows go down for far less in the past, so things are definitely not looking good.
All the controversy has actually had some positive effects in the grand scheme of things though, as the show has been enjoying a lot of attention in the recent months, and many believe that Miller’s legal troubles are the main reason for that. It’s possible that this is true, and the old saying “there’s no such thing as bad press” sometimes does turn out to be correct.
Not all of that attention has been positive though, as the issues around Miller also helped highlight some problems behind the show’s scenes, unrelated to her personality. Because of this, some were convinced that we are not going to see “Dance Moms” go much further after its seventh season.
For the most part, fans are hopeful that the show will find a way to survive, and we’ve seen an outpour of support on social media channels related to “Dance Moms”. Many people are commenting stating that they would like to see more seasons, even if Abby Lee Miller has to serve jail time. It looks like she’s not the center of attention as far as the show is concerned after all, and it would be interesting to see where the producers could steer things in her absence.
As for Miller, her situation currently has her facing the risk of serving a near three-year sentence, something which a person in her current state would probably find hard to swallow. It’s very likely that she will end up serving that sentence in relatively relaxed conditions of course, but being deprived of one’s freedom for so long can take its toll on anyone.
She’s being attacked with requests for an even stricter sentence, but it looks like Miller’s legal representation is competent enough to keep that danger at bay for now. Of course, nobody really knows how something like this could end up, knowing the legal system surrounding the case. Needless to say though, following that case has been very interesting for a large number of people, even some who have no interest in “Dance Moms” itself in general.
