‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 UFC’s Dana White Confirms Appearance of Conor McGregor in a Mysterious Role

As if all the hoopla and excitement for the upcoming seventh season of the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” is still not enough, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White has confirmed in a recent TV appearance that the league’s badass Conor McGregor shall also have a mysterious role in the show.

Apparently, it is not just going to be a one-episode role similar to Ian McShane in Season 6 but a role that would last the final two seasons of “Game of Thrones,” reports Digital Spy.

In a recent interview on “Fox Sports Live,” Dana White said that he knew that a few months ago, the producers of “Game of Thrones” were interested in putting McGregor in the show.

White then said that he is just glad that McGregor, who is also Irish like most of the cast members of “Game of Thrones,” did it and that Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” would further benefit from it and so is McGregor.

The UFC President said that it is going to be huge and awesome and this early, he is already excited for Conor McGregor and the Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.”

Speculations on his role

Thus far, the showrunners and cast members of “Game of Thrones” are not saying anything, especially with regards to the mysterious role of Conor McGregor. But some fans are speculating that the mixed martial artist could be among Euron Greyjoy’s vicious and vengeful army of pirates.

If that is to be the case, then it means bad things ahead for the forever tortured Theon Greyjoy, played by Alfie Allen, and his sister Yara. Both run away from their Uncle Euron and have now allied with the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen.

There are also reports saying that Conor McGregor could also be part of Jon Snow’s army and that he will be instrumental in battling with the Night King and his white walkers.

However, all of these reports about McGregor’s role are mere fan speculations so it should be taken with a fine grain of salt.

McGregor recently had a one-one-one match with “Game of Thrones” fearless zombie warrior, The Mountain, played by Hafbor Julius Bjornsson in real life. There was also a video of them fighting that went viral where McGregor managed to hold his own against the bigger and taller Bjornsson.

Plenty of deaths

Because the showrunners and the cast members are not talking about possible storylines in the upcoming Season 7 of “Game of Thrones,” what seems to be confirmed is the huge number of deaths in the next two seasons of the popular TV series, details Game & Guide.

Considering that “Game of Thrones” is now moving to the end game with its 13 remaining episodes, it would not be surprising that there would be more deaths.

That’s in addition to the fact that there are at least two looming major battles in the last two seasons of “Game of Thrones.”

The first is the battle of King’s Landing as Daenerys and her army are about to reach it soon. They are expected to encounter tough opposition from Queen Cersei Lannister Baratheon who is determined to hold on to the Iron Throne whatever it takes.

And when the dust settles in King’s Landing, the next ruler of Westeros shall have to contend with the coming of the Night King and the white walkers from the North.

That being said, there is indeed going to be plenty of deaths in the last two seasons of “Game of Thrones” and the bigger question is who among the major characters who will not be lucky to remain standing at the end.
