In a new announcement on the official website for the game, BioWare have revealed two new content packs for “Dragon Age: Inquisition”, and even better – one of them will be free! According to the announcement, one of the packages will be aimed at the multiplayer portion of the game, while the other will give gamers more content for the single player.
“Dragon Age: Inquisition – Destruction” is the name of the first package, and it will be released for free to all owners of the game. It will expand current locations in the multiplayer world, adding new paths for players to explore, and it will also increase the overall difficulty in the wilderness areas. New aggressive creatures will be roaming the world, attacking not only the player, but their enemies as well. All in all, it seems that a lot of work has been put into putting these extra layers of polish on the multiplayer experience, and the game should now offer even more hours of fun online.
On the other hand, players can also invest in a premium content package now, which will cost $10 (or the equivalent for specific regions). This pack gives players access to content which was previously exclusive to the Digital Deluxe edition, specifically a throne, three mounts, new weapons, new armor, extra chests for multiplayer and a bonus copy of the game’s official soundtrack.
Both content packages have been released on all platforms, and BioWare have stated that they don’t plan on making any of the game’s content exclusive to specific platforms as of yet. Pricing is also reported to follow a flat model across all platforms, which is good because other companies have seen problems previously when they have tried to force players on certain platforms to pay more.
There have been rumors about even more content packs being in the works, although BioWare haven’t confirmed anything officially so far. The company does seem to be hard at work on “Dragon Age: Inquisition” behind the scenes though, as various reports indicate that the studio has been putting a lot of focus on this title lately, possibly on content packages like the ones released now.
Meanwhile, various reviewers have been revisiting the game and commending BioWare on various features that resulted in its rise to popularity, in particular the extensive cast that was used. According to some industry experts, the game’s cast is actually the best in the series, and it’s exactly what contributes to making it such an amazing experience. BioWare themselves seem to be well aware of this anyway, as the studio has been putting a lot of effort on working with quality voice actors lately.
