2016 Ford Bronco Revives the Line in a Familiar Style!

“Bronco” is a big name to anyone who was enthusiastic about pickup trucks during the 90s, as it was pretty much the biggest brand in that market at the time, and for a good reason. The Bronco used to offer a great combination of features, packaged in a stylish exterior, and at an acceptable price that easily drew in many people. When Ford announced their decision to discontinue the brand, fans were understandably upset – and now, it seems that the Bronco is back in full force with the 2016 edition of the truck.

Official reports on the situation remain a bit strange, mostly due to an apparent name change – but there are many indications pointing in the direction of a new Bronco being currently in development. However, the new model won’t continue the actual Bronco line, and it will be called Troller instead. This can lead to some confusion, as another Troller was recently launched in South America, but reports indicate that this will not be the exact same model.

The new Bronco/Troller will be offered in two different options, as far as its engine is concerned – there will be a 3.5 liter Ecoboost engine, as well as a 4.5 liter diesel option available. Additionally, there will be different options for the transmission, including a manual and automatic gearbox, both with six speeds. All in all, it seems that Ford are trying to attract many different types of buyers with the new 2016 Bronco, which could be a smart strategy, as the truck definitely has the potential for a wide market reach.

However, Ford haven’t confirmed that this is actually a new Bronco yet. According to the company, this is still a Troller – but a detailed look at the vehicle’s parameters and the way its design has been handled should make it clear that this is indeed a revival of the Bronco line. Whether or not Ford will admit that at some point in the future isn’t clear, and they might have valid reasons to keep it under wraps for marketing purposes.

But word of mouth should be enough to drive old Bronco fans to the new 2016 Troller once it’s out, provided that Ford can offer an attractive package of features with it. And from what we’ve been seeing so far from the various reports surrounding the upcoming release, Ford may have very well found a winning combination of features for it. There’s a lot of time to go until the model rolls out, and Ford may announce further changes to its design until then, but many fans have already been getting hopeful that they’ll soon get their hands on a revised Bronco, upgraded to be in line with 2016 trends.
