Information about the new Huawei P10 leaked a few days ago. According to GSM Arena, the phone will have a dual-curve touchscreen. What is making news is that Huawei made a Home button and a fingerprint scanner in the back. The arrangement doesn’t make sense since the Home button can usually double as a fingerprint scanner as well.
The news about the Home button in front and the fingerprint scanner in the back was making a lot of noise. It might be because of this reason that Huawei has released new photos of the P10 without the front Home button. It looks like the company might have realized that they didn’t need a Home button or they only wanted to stop the rumor.
The new photo of the Huawei P10 shows a design that resembles the current model from the company. However, given the goof up with the Home button, some are skeptical and feel that the photos might not have been released by the company after all.
The pictures look like they have been worked on by the fans who tried to stir up some rumors. However, if this isn’t the case, then the photos reveal that the phone will be black in color with a glass back. Huawei P10 will have a dual camera, with a ring flash as well.
Huawei P9 became a huge success soon after it released. The Leica-certified dual cameras and hence it is evident that Huawei would like to continue the success with their Huawei P10.
The Inquirer reported that the Huawei P10 would have a 5.5-inch screen with 1440×2560 curved display. The Huawei P9 was of 5.2-inch, but the P9 Plus was increased to 5.5-inch, and the company will keep the same price for the next model as well.
The phone will have the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will be a significant advantage over other phones like Samsung, HTC, and Sony with the same feature.
Huawei will include the much-anticipated Leica dual-lens rear camera. Huawei P10 will have the Kirin 960 chip. The Kirin 960 chip is similar to the Cortex-A73 core design. It was the same chip that powered the Huawei P9.
Huawei P10 will come in two variants. One of them will have a 64GB variant with 4GB RAM, and the other would be a 128GB option which will have 6GB RAM. It will also have a Mali-G71 GPU and a 2.3GHz CPU.
Huawei hasn’t revealed any information about the pricing for Huawei P10. Since the price for the P9 was around the £450 mark, the Huawei P10 is expected to be in the same range as well.
The Chinese site Weibo recently released an image that is allegedly a prototype of the Huawei P10. The design for the phone looks borrowed from the Meizu MX6, and it again confirms that HTC will be bringing the Leica dual-cameras back, as promised.
The front camera will be 8MP. There’s no information about the rear camera as of now.
The Huawei P9 brought in a unique technology where one of the dual cameras had a monochrome set-up while the other one had RGB. Huawei Mate 9 came with an updated version of the technology and experts believe that the Huawei P10 will further develop and enhance the feature.
If the features are incorporated in Huawei P10, then the monochrome sensor will be of 20MP and the RGB sensor will be of 12MP.
