Recently, a new commercial featuring Mario Kart 8 was uploaded on Nintendo’s certified YouTube account. Gamers are wondering if the development of a new Wii U GamePad was also revealed in the commercial. The commercial looks a little mysterious as Nintendo tried to tease the gamers by blurring out the definite details. This strategy struck home as fans are exceedingly excited regarding this new development.
People around the world are currently speculating if it was the new GamePad in the works. It was also noted that in spite of being on the Nintendo Japan YouTube account, the commercial was labeled as a ‘European Version’. However, all of these speculations, rumors and expectations were ruined with Nintendo Life reporting that this commercial was produced around six-seven months ago.
The video that portrayed this mysterious GamePad was not only thinner than usual but rather blurred out as well. Unreliable effects and mediocre work is primarily responsible for this. The ‘European Version’ commercial was originally a recap of the same commercial that was released in Europe, back in May.
Many different websites were reporting the release of a new GamePad. As a result of which Nintendo Life revealed the original video along with a second commercial video which aired in Europe. It was done in order to clear out the rumors and declare that no new GamePad will be released anytime soon.
We are aware that multiple GamePad are not supported by the Wii U. Back in March, Shigeru Miyamoto, a producer and designer from Nintendo declared that the company was trying to develop games that supported two or more GamePad at once.
He also stated that presently they had no such plans and are yet to decide if users are ready for the two-GamePad support for their devices. Many companies have reached out to Nintendo in order to clear out the rumors regarding the Wii U GamePad. However, Nintendo is yet to officially comment on the matter.
