Apple iPad Air 3 Reported to Have a Sleeker Look and Better Feel Because it Will Come Out Thinner than its Predecessor

The Apple iPad Pro marked its first-year market cycle this month but it no longer came as a surprise to many Apple fans that its second iteration did not come out.

With the excellent features and top-of-the-line capabilities of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, it really made it tough for the American tech giant to come up with a next iteration to the device within a year’s time.

Sometime in March this year, Apple also launched the iPad Pro 9.7in, which is basically a smaller version of the iPad Pro. It seems unlikely for the Cupertino-based tech company to launch a second iteration of the iPad Pro 9.7in in March as well, based on recent rumors.

However, what seems imminent, as far as rumors go, is that Apple might be launching the latest version of its iPad Air, to be officially called as the iPad Air 3.

Reports have it that Apple is now working on releasing the new iPad Air 3 in March 2017 which would feature groundbreaking features compared to its predecessor, the iPad Air 2, when it was launched in October 2014.

The same reports are also saying that the Apple iPad Air 3 is expected to look sleeker and shall come with a better feel because it would be thinner compared to the iPad Air 2, details Headlines & Global News.

In addition, the upcoming flagship tablet of Apple shall hit the market with amazing features and specifications including a new Apple Pencil that will surely give the iPad Air 3 an edge over its competitors.

It shall also reportedly come with an HD and 4K screen display that is equipped with 3D Touch technology.

The last of the iPad Air line

However, there are also rumors saying that the Apple iPad Air 3 could also be the last of the iPad Air line for the American tech giant.

Apparently, while the first two iPad Air devices were excellently made and gave the competition a run for the buyers’ money, it was not as warmly received in the market as Apple had projected it.

It turns out that many consumers found the price of the tablet too stiff to their liking and preference and were thus forced to consider the competitors, reports the International Business Times of Australia.

There are also reports saying that the iPad Air 3 may actually adapt some of the features of the iPhone 7 including the dual lens camera, among other things.

The vanishing rumors

The previous rumors about the Apple iPad Air 3 seemed to have vanished online after the release of the iPad Pro 9.7in in March this year.

Tech enthusiasts believed that the iPad Pro 9.7in is the latest iteration of the Apple iPad Air so when the former device was launched by the American tech giant and made it into the retail markets in March this year, the rumors about the iPad Air 3 died down.

The Apple iPad Air 2 officially came out of the market in October 2014 so it has already been more than two years without a refresh. That could have been the reason why the rumors on the Apple iPad Air 3 were suddenly resurrected.

However, since Apple has yet to make a statement to confirm or deny the rumors about the iPad Air 3, everything about the device remains speculation at this point in time.

With the release of the iPad Pro in November last year and the iPad Pro 9.7in in March this year, there were reports saying that Apple has already ended its popular iPad Air line.
