Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Delayed For Localization Issues, Might Launch In The Summer Of 2017, Will Nintendo Postpone The Launch Of Nintendo Switch?

Nintendo revealed Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild earlier this year at E3 2016 and the fans are excited to lay their hands on the game. In spite of revealing the game, Nintendo had made it clear that the game would launch only in 2017.

The players were hopeful that Nintendo would launch Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild along with their new game console. Nintendo had officially announced that Nintendo Switch would release in March 2017 and this meant that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would release along with it.

Tech Times reported that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild might get delayed. The delay might force it to miss the launch of Nintendo Switch. Emily Rogers is a proficient blogger who blogs inside information from Nintendo. She has proven to be right on numerous occasions, and she has confirmed the delay of  Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

According to Nintendo, the localization process of the game is taking more time than they had anticipated. Forbes reported that the localization process for Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild will continue for the whole of 2016.

The testing period would follow the localization process and would span for at least six months. It has to be tested in all the different languages as well. If Nintendo follows this schedule, then it is clear that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won’t be ready for release in June.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a great launch title for Nintendo Switch. The game is one of the most expansive and ambitious games that Nintendo has launched. Legend of Zelda was first meant to be a game on Wii U, which never worked out.

Given the popularity of the game, Nintendo Switch would have gotten a major push if Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild was the launch game. Forbes is calling the game a system seller and that Nintendo would take a great decision if they delay the launch of Nintendo Switch to release it with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The only reason Nintendo is rushing with the release of Nintendo Switch is that they want to get done with it before the end of the fiscal year. However, Nintendo shouldn’t rush with the release only to make up for the fiscal year, since without a launch title, the console wouldn’t sell.

The reason for players wanting to zero down on Nintendo Switch was that they would get a chance to play Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. With no Legend of Zelda to lay their hands on, there are very few who would end up investing on Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo was riding on the success of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and players aren’t even aware of the other titles that would be compatible with the new gaming console. Nintendo Wii U was a nightmare for the company, and they would do better to delay the release of Nintendo Switch if they don’t want a repeat of the same disaster.

Game N Guide reported that Nintendo is tight-lipped about Nintendo Switch. They aren’t forthcoming about any information about the new console before a much-awaited event in January 2017.

Reports suggest that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild might not be the launch title for Nintendo Switch. When rumors about Nintendo Switch were circulating, there were reports about a reworked Mario 3D game. There is no official confirmation on this, but fans are hopeful that Nintendo would release more about the game one-two months before the launch of Nintendo Switch.
