Players are waiting for the release of The Last of Us 2. While Naughty Dog hasn’t made any official announcement about the sequel to the popular game, rumors suggest that the game is already in the works.
Parent Herald reported that Naughty Dog is working on The Last of Us 2 after voice actor Nolan North informed that the developers have begun thinking of the possibility of a sequel. Game N Guide reported that even though Naughty Dog has started working on the idea of The Last of Us 2, the game will take at least 4.5 years to complete.
Speculation is running high on the plot for The Last of Us 2. While some want Ellie and Joel to return for the second part of the popular game, many players are ready to move on with a new plot and new characters.
The first mention of The Last of Us 2 happened when Josh Scherr was addressing the fans during a live stream. He spoke about The Last of Us out of nowhere, and the fans were quick to jump to the conclusion that Scherr might have revealed something unknowingly.
According to Gamerant, Naughty Dog is looking for a 2018 release of The Last of Us 2. The LinkedIn profile picture of Michael Knowland depicts an image of The Last of Us. Knowland is the developer of The Last of Us and since he has changed his photo to that of a picture of the game, indicates that the developing team is working on the sequel.
Michael Knowland had also shared that his team and he had spent the whole month working on the prototypes for the head sculpts for The Last of Us 2.
While fans are busy figuring out what’s the plan for The Last of Us 2, Naught Dog has released the remastered version of The Last of Us. The remastered version launched on the new PS4 Pro console.
The PlayStation 4 Pro contains many of the old titles in remastered versions. The developers have taken advantage of the technological development to enhance their gameplay and graphics.
PS4 Pro will provide the developers sharper images with graphic enhancement along with smoother frame rates.
PlayStation Blog published a list of over 40 games that were remastered for the PS4 Pro. Mark Cerny, the lead architect for Sony PlayStation informed the fans about the different things they can now enjoy their favorite games.
According to Christian Today, players can now play The Last of Us Remastered at 30FPS at a 2160p resolution. They can also play it at 60FPS at 1800p resolution. Naughty Dog informed the players that they would notice a visible improvement in the graphics; it will be smoother and crisper.
Fans had welcomed this news since they had another The Last of Us game to play with, albeit a remastered one. However, the happiness didn’t quite last!
Eurogamer reported that the remastered edition of The Last of Us are showing glitches. The game runs better on the PS4 than in PS4 Pro. Tech experts claim that the game is running 60FPS at 1800p and this is ending up becoming a problem on PS4 Pro.

Techno Buffalo reported that the game didn’t run steadily at 60FPS and would often flare up with multiple frame rate drops while running at 1800p resolution. They even noticed dips in the 50FPS which would become more noticeable in certain areas.
