Spider-Man to Appear in Avengers: Infinity War or Should He Not, Jeremy Renner To Drop Out of Mission: Impossible 6!

Tom Holland has recently said that his contract with Marvel requires him to appear in six films. Of these six, three are in solo Spider-man flicks, while other three appearances as Spider-Man in other projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Tom Holland made his debut as the wall-crawler in Captain America: Civil War, which means that he has now two films left in the mysterious other projects segment. Only 20 years of age, Tom Holland is till date the youngest actor to ever be cast as a Marvel Cinematic Universe hero.

He probably has more than six films in him. As of yet, Spider-Man’s inclusion hasn’t been officially confirmed for Avenger’s Infinity, which will be coming in 2018. However, fans keep hoping as neither Holland nor Kevin Feige of Marvel has given any definite answers.

Starting from the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy to Doctor Strange have been confirmed for Avengers: Infinity War, where they will go up against the strong Thanos, played by Josh Brolin.

While giving an interview with THR, Holland highlighted his version of the MCU Spider-Man is a childish avatar of the superhero. He brings in a different flavor to the Universe, as he looks at all the events and interprets them through his young eyes.

Hence, placing him in the battle against a character like Thanos, who desires to command and destroy the Universe is a bit too much. For a new Spider-Man, who is still struggling with the idea of power and its responsibilities, it will be too vast an ordeal.

Also, we are not too keen on Spider-Man joining the team too soon. The part of Spider-Man’s charm is in the fact that through the greater part of history, he has been a loner. Not successfully joining any permanent positions in any teams, be it the Fantastic Four or the Avengers.

The best contemporary illustration of a young Spider-Man is the Ultimate Spider-Man by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mark Bagley. In that Avatar, Spider-Man intersected paths with several superheroes. He was best friends with Johnny Storm, and then Nick Fury who knew his secret identity.

He had teamed up with the Ultimates from occasionally, but for the maximum part he dealt with his complications and fought his battles. In the MCU, he requires the same time to fight them on largely his own; with maybe a little assistance from Tony Stark in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It seems that Jeremy Renner is a very busy man these days, which is quite understandable really. Having roles in both The Avengers as well as the Mission: Impossible franchises, his life imaginable sure can’t be very relaxing. However, in spite of such densely packed schedule, he still manages to find time for movies like Kill the Messenger.

Therefore, it shouldn’t be too surprising to know that he may have to sacrifice his role in the Mission: Impossible 6 for honoring his commitment to Marvel. Especially after the film being confirmed for release in 2018, putting it within clashing distance of the release of Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers Infinity War

While the Mission: Impossible six is set for gracing the theaters 27th of July 2018, Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War will come to the theaters on May 4th, 2018. So, the shooting of both these movies will begin roughly at the same time.

In an interview with the Collider, Jeremy Renner stated that he is not sure about what is going on. He knows that the team is looking forward to getting the shot going, but Jeremy hasn’t spoken to Tom about, where the situation is finally at.
