‘Dance Moms’ Season 7 Question Looms Whether Abby Lee Miller Shall Be Able to Complete Filming Before Possible Jail Time is Handed Down by the Court

Every fan of the dance competition reality show “Dance Moms” on Lifetime knows that dance leader Abby Lee Miller has a lot of things going on her mind especially with her fraud cases about to be handed decision upon by the court soon.

Abby Lee Miller admitted to the charges and struck a plea bargaining deal with her guilty plea before the court. But the cases are still considered non-executory as court hearings are put on hold because of the conflict of schedule of the government counsel.

From a supposed December 11 hearing, it was moved to January 2017 though no exact date has been given by the court thus far.

Contrary to rumors that Season 7 of “Dance Moms” is about to be canceled since Abby Lee Miller is likely to render jail time for her felony, the reality TV show has just completed filming its ninth episode for its upcoming seventh season, notes the Parent Herald.

Thus, it becomes clear that Season 7 of “Dance Moms” is good to go and it will start airing on Lifetime early next year. The only remaining question is whether Abby Lee Miller shall be able to complete filming for the seventh season before the court hands down its official decision on her fraud cases.

The 49-year old Abby Lee Miller was charged back in 2015 with bankruptcy fraud, concealment of bankruptcy assets, and false declarations of bankruptcy. She was also accused of hiding more than $755,000 in earnings.

If convicted, Abby Lee Miller will serve five years of jail time and will be asked to pay a fine of $5 million. Her team is working on the sentence to be lesser by 30 months as part of the bargain.

The show must go on

But as a celebrity and showbusiness person that she is, Abby also knows that the show must go on and she seems to be working on “Dance Moms” Season 7 without looking into the near future, including the possibility of her spending jail time.

In fact, during the filming of episode 9 of “Dance Moms” Season 7 recently, her ALDC competed and showed its dominance during the Dream National Dance Competition in San Diego, California, reports the Christian Today.

Abby brought in a guest dancer named Jane Dickson along with Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, Brynn Rumfallo, Nia Frasier Sioux, and Camryn Bridges for the lyrical group dance, “Blush and Bashful.”

The ALDC dance team earned a perfect score, which landed them first place in the Teen Division and Overall. Miller was definitely pleased with the outcome of their participation in the contest.

Dickson seems to be happy about it as well and called it as the best day ever. She expressed her gratitude for the amazing opportunity that was given to her by Abby to dance with her team. She also shared a photo of herself and the ALDC team with Abby on her social media account.
