‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered’ Provides a Throwback to How the Original Game Redefined the ‘Call of Duty’ Gaming Experience

With the release of the first-person shooter video game “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on November 4, it also sets off “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered,’ which was previously called as ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ remastered.

In order to enjoy “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered,” it is imperative for gamers to buy “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” because the digitally improved version of the “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” is bundled with the latest game in the franchise.

Game developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision assured gamers that “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” shall bring a new experience and also the biggest changes to the game.

More importantly, it shall also come with a throwback in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered,” whose original game was released back in 2007, reports Gotta Be Mobile.

Preventing stats from disappearing

In addition to the remastered graphics and audio in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered,” gamers also got new features in the multiplayer mode of the game that is common in today’s modern first-person shooters. Accordingly, the most important is the ‘Loss Stat Prevented,’ which prevents players from earning a loss if they join a game in progress.

The feature is one of the most lauded on the previous game of the franchise released last year, “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.”

Gamers should understand that their stats from “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” on the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3 do not transfer to the new game. Apparently, there will be dedicated servers for the multiplayer mode of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.”

There is also a new “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” trilogy that allows gamers to play “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare,” “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,” but each one is not connected to the new game.

It is to be a special pack for PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. It is not remastered and it is not for the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4.

The in-game movement will stay true to the original game, so players need not worry about advanced movement and chain-based movement getting in the way of their favorite game.

Giving players the chance to revisit classic missions

The release of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered” also gives players the chance to revisit classic missions with Soap MacTavish, Captain Prince, and the rest of the squad, reports Games Radar.

There is also an extra hidden trophy or achievement that has been added which requires gamers to create a time paradox.

A case in point is the ‘One Shot, One Kill’ mission where the player attempts to assassinate ultranationalist leader Imran Zakhaev using a long range Barrett M82 sniper rifle.

But there is another key figure in the scene. In the front seat of the vehicle on the far left is Vladimir Makarov, one of Zakhaev’s trusted lieutenants, who eventually went on to lead the ultranationalist’s terror attack in the two “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” sequels.

If the gamer takes Makarov out, he could stop all that from happening and he will also earn a time paradox hidden trophy or achievement for his collection.

Meanwhile, almost 10 years have passed, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” is no longer modern but it still packs a solid punch.

Its remastered version does a fantastic job of revisiting one of the genre’s best single-player campaigns, its Russian ultra-nationalists, radical Islamic terrorism, and the pursuit of a rogue nuclear device remains surprisingly relevant to today’s Middle Eastern turmoil.

It is definitely a no-nonsense campaign from start to finish, and it’s still got a pace that rivals even today’s fastest-moving shooters.

The gameplay and features are testaments to the supremely solid foundations of the franchise that Modern Warfare’s mechanics remain superb.
