The world felt empty when The Sims 4 was launched back in 2014. In the recently released City Living expansion, The Sims 4 feels alive. As a result, you will find Sims everywhere and all the time. Most people, who played through City Living, received a code from EA.
They further discovered that getting an apartment in the imaginary San Myshuno City is quite easier than finding an apartment in New York. The reason for that is all apartments in San Myshuno wear their problems on their sleeves. There is a new feature in City Living called ‘Lot Traits.’ The houses and apartments get special features through these characteristics.
For instance, new features include ‘Chef’s Kitchen which makes it easier for you to become good at cooking and then we have Lively Neighbors as well. You can let your Sims join the new ‘Critic’ just to make sure that the character gets to know other Sims inside the game. In the base game, it was not possible to control your Sims at work, but they can be instructed into talking with their co-workers.
It makes sure that they get new friends and the ‘Social’ need is further increased. Following your Sims at work was made possible with the Get To Work expansion. However, you had to complete a series of mini-games which made it difficult ever to talk to anyone in the game. In San Myshuno, things are much simpler.
City Living also has Karaoke along with the new singing skill. It is possible to sing everywhere, including the shower, while simply walking around or while using any of the different available instruments. However, it is most fun when singing at the Karaoke machines and that is also the easiest way through which you can meet other people.
It will be hilarious when your Sims croak out a country song with its new friends. Keep in mind that there is a major difference between Sims with a low and a high singing. Socializing and relationships haven’t changed a lot in City Living. The game has been made easier with all those mechanics included. Every couple days in the game, San Myshuno hosts a festival.
Usually, it is seen one of your Sim’s friends will call them up to hang out. Before City Living, other Sims would only be able to call you to their house.
In the real game, places like bars and parks would only get populated once your Sim arrives there and getting to that requires a loading screen as well. However, San Myshuno is a lot more seamless. If your friend’s wish to see a festival located in your Sim’s district, they can simply go outside and check it out. You will already see Sims hanging out there.
You will now be able to live in a high rise condo complex and at the same time, you can dunk a basketball as well. You can make your Sims turn on their stereos and you can listen to Sara and Tegan during their free time.
The Canadian pop duo is the latest one to record one of the songs, recorded in the game’s native language of Simlish. For sixteen years now, Sims have been speaking in the Simlish language. Once you click on another Sim in the game, it directs your character to chat or flirt or asks about the day.
They will proudly go up to their targets and start speaking in garbled semi-words. You will find that a lot of sounds in Simlish are similar to those in the English language. However, nothing signifies anything in particular. In 2016, there are four games and various expansion packs in the entire Sims universe.
