After the critical success of the Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462, which was nominated for an Emmy, AMC introduced a new companion web series for Fear the Walking Dead.
The new web miniseries happens to be a 16-part affair. The first segment of it was rolled out by the AMC, called Fear the Walking Dead: Passage, on the 23rd of October, Sunday. It premiered during a commercial break, while the first episode of The Walking Dead season 7 was playing.
The same is presently available at the AMC website.
The web-episodes or webisodes, of the new season of the Fear the Walking Dead, revolves around the character of Sierra, played by Kelsey Scott. Sierra is a fearsome survivor who has decided to help Gabi. The character of Gabi is a player by Mishel Prada, who agrees to provide Sierra with a sanctuary in this post-zombie apocalypse world, in return for her assistance.
The official description of the Passage, suggests the two are brought face-to-face with multiple dangers, in the course of their journey. They must learn to survive or perish.
The Fear the Walking Dead: Passage is produced by the same person who was the Executive Producer and Showrunner for Fear the Walking Dead, David Erickson. The director of the show is Andrew Bernstein; he also played a little part in the producing as well.
The show was penned by LaurenSignorino and Michael Zunic, who also happen to be its consulting producers.
The Michael McDonough directed Flight 462, earned itself two Emmy nominations, of which, one included the nomination for the Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series.
Very recently, the president of original programming and development for AMC and Sundance TV, Joel Stillerman stated in a statement that after watching the tremendous response of previous year’s Flight 462; the team is excited at the notion of expanding the world of “Fear”, which will showcase another tale of survival at the onset of the apocalypse.
He also added that it is great to be working with Dave Erickson. He glad that the term ‘Fear’in his new original short film, will continue to engross fans in the off-season of the Walking Dead.
Each episode of Fear the Walking Dead: Passage will run for as little as a minute and will debut every Sunday night. It will make its appearance both online and on-air as promotions during every new episode of The Walking Dead season 7.
Fear the Walking Dead, season 3 will come on screens sometime in 2017 on AMC.
In the season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead, we saw the Abigail clan break apart into separate groups, and it appears, that they won’t be getting together anywhere shortly. However, fans should look forward to the probability of meeting a new character in the show’s third Season.
If we look at how the sophomore season of the Fear the Walking Dead ended, we can’t help but worry about the characters. In this list is included the characters Nick and Luciana, who after going to the trouble of taking all the people from La Colonia, to what was presumably a refugee camp; was shot by a militia group.
David Erickson has previewed the borderline of the story in Season 3; it is highly anticipated that he will throw in a few new characters into the mix.
When the showrunner David Erickson was asked in an interview with the Daily Dead, whether the audience has any possibility to witnessing the return of certain familiar faces like that of Jack and the pirates or Alex from Flight 462.

Nobody cares, it is overkill and a huge embarrassment to TWD. It needs to be cancelled ASAP. The producers at least have sense enough at this stage to see it as a failure, comics and crossover has been ruled out. Cancellation is Fear’s destination.
