Actor Jamie Dornan is a family man and he made sure that the rumor-mongerers know that when he recently stated that his love for his wife Amelia Warner never changes from the day that they have become a couple.
The Irish actor made the statement recently in light of rumors that he and his leading lady in the upcoming erotic romance film “Fifty Shades Darker,” Dakota Johnson, are having a secret affair, reports Game & Guide.
Jamie and Amelia were married in 2012 and they now have a 19-month old daughter named Dulcie.
All the three films of the movie trilogy based on the erotic novels of author E.L. James necessitate the intimate scenes between Christian Grey, played by Dornan, and Anastasia Steele, played by Fanning.
The rumors about the secret affair between the two heightened further when Dakota surprised Jamie Dornan during his recent 34th birthday celebration and shared her greeting to his leading man on her Instagram account.
But Dornan explained that he and Dakota are just professionals doing their job and that they have also become good friends. He also clarified that despite the intimate scenes in the three movies, including the upcoming “Fifty Shades Darker” due to hit theaters in February next year, he and Dakota never had actual sex because they both know the limitations of their roles.
Producer’s frustrations with the PGA
Producer Dana Brunetti of “Fifty Shades Darker” is disappointed that the PGA did not give its mark to him on the movie “Fifty Shades Darker.”
PGA or Producers Guild of America is a trade organization representing television producers, film producers, and new media producers in the US. The PGA’s membership includes over 7,000 members of the producing establishments worldwide.
Brunetti was quoted as saying that he does not care actually in the movie but more on the principle because of his previous experiences with the PGA and how the organization is doing the same to other producers.
PGA’s ruling on Brunetti’s mark is quite premature as the org typically assesses the degree to which a producer has been involved in the marketing and post production of a movie.
In the case of “Fifty Shades Darker,” Brunetti has been involved in production every step of the way including getting director James Foley to board the last two movies after helming “House of Cards” episodes on Netflix, details Deadline.
Brunetti further shared the frustrations he’s had with the PGA over marks in the past for the films “Captain Phillips” and “The Social Network.” He said that he was upset because he has been constantly putting his boots on the ground and the org seems to be doing it over and over again to him with his recent stint in “House of Cards” and now in “Fifty Shades Darker.”
He explained that the PGA is not a real guild and its only power in his opinion is arbitrating credits and they become overzealous in how they do it. He explained that the WGA, DGA, and SAG all protect their members.
Brunetti went on to elaborate that a writer gets paid on projects all the time, whether a project gets made or not. But a producer does not. Producers don’t get paid unless a project gets made, and there’s multiple times when he has committed to and prepared films that haven’t moved forward. But there was no guild to protect them.
A big confrontation scene
Meanwhile, actress Marcia Gay Hayden, who played the role of Mrs. Grey in “Fifty Shades of Grey” and who shall be reprising the same character in “Fifty Shades Darker,” has hinted of a big confrontation scene between her character and that of Elena Lincoln, based also on the book.
Elena Lincoln is played in the sequel by Kim Basinger and she introduced herself to Christian Grey as Mrs. Robinson. She is the woman who seduced Christian Grey to become her submissive and pushed him into the world of BDSM at the young age of 15.
