For quite some time now, Samsung has been the biggest phone manufacturer on an international level. However, it has been receiving some bad press due to some issues regarding its batteries of Galaxy Note 7. It is expected that this is going to hit the company’s revenue for the current year.
There is no reason, however, to assume that this will make the company drop some of its planned projects. Despite the expected plunge in the profits, the tech-giant intends to carry on with the announcement of its future projects, with a slight delay of course. There are no signs of the company slowing down because of a slight phablet fiasco.
The year 2016, stands witness to the unveiling of a lot of smartphones by Samsung. Some of them being the likes of, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, alongside the budget handset Galaxy J. Not just that, the company has also introduced into the market, the Galaxy C series, which consists of devices like the Galaxy C5 and the Galaxy C7.
Coming from the fact, however, that these handsets haven’t been introduced to other parts of the world, it can be concluded that they were meant exclusively for the Chinese markets. The Galaxy C7, forming a much formidable counterpart, these phones of the Galaxy C series, comes with nice looking specifications and fit into the mid-tier segment.
In a teaser, that Samsung recently shared, for its upcoming terminal, it was evident that this device will come sporting a different and distinct design. It looks like the Samsung Galaxy C9 will feature three slim antenna lines, which will swap for the two lines that are thicker.
In the pictures of the new handset, shows an inconspicuous, thin tri-antenna band design that is positioned inconspicuously on the top and bottom of the back panel. This strays from the standard design of antennas for other smartphones. Usually what we find is, a thick line (normally white in colour) located on the back panel, where the antenna is supposed to be.
We don’t know exactly how the smartphone will actually look like, but it looks as if it will have a metallic build. If the company decides upon a different design for the antenna, we will get to see a different overall design too.
According to speculations, the Galaxy c9 will be endowed with a 5.9-inch display, diagonal and 1080p resolution. It will be comprising of a Snapdragon 652 processor as well. The graphics will be powered by an Adreno 510 GPU.
The storage space allotted for memory and storage will be 6 GB and 64 GB, respectively. Apart from that, another intriguing fact remains that Samsung will post the same camera sensor on both sides of the phone, and the main and the secondary shooter, both will contain a 16 MP sensor. As far as the software is concerned, the device will come supporting on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow accommodating a TouchWiz UI on top, as is usual.
It is being anticipated that another iteration is going to be added by Samsung to the tech-giant’s mid-range Galaxy C. However, as facts suggests the upcoming Galaxy C9 is not simply a line-up expansion, as it will come bearing important improvements in its design and features.
SamMobile stated in a post, that alleged teaser images of Samsung C9 made their appearances on China-based social media site Weibo, recently. The photos shown in those teasers further confirms that the iteration is ready for unveiling.
