Since their high-profile split last month, Brad Pitt has been pictured as the bad guy in the failed 12-year relationship with Angelina Jolie, the last 10 of which were as a married couple.
Though both actors requested the media and the paparazzi to give them their privacy in light of their difficult situation and their impending divorce for the sake of their children, rumors and speculations still managed to come out pointing to the 52-year-old actor as the cause of it all.
Accordingly, Brad Pitt almost physically hurt their 15-year-old son Maddox while he and Angelina were arguing onboard a private plane and Maddox decided to step in the middle. His father reportedly lunged at him
But the incident has yet to be confirmed. While there has been a video of the incident onboard the plane, it only showed the couple arguing but none of the lunging on Maddox.
Both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have since refused to make any comment or statement on whatever the media is publishing about their failed relationship, its possible cause, or the rigorous procedures that they are to undergo in the next couple of months or maybe even years.
The biggest issue thus far is in the custody of the six children, which Angelina Jolie wants the court to be granted to her in full. Initially, she also refused to grant visitation rights to Brad Pitt, which seems unlikely to win in court.
But with the manner in which she presented it, it also projected that Brad Pitt was a terrible father to his kids, which according to some of those close to the family, is really not the case.
Do not demonize Brad Pitt
It looks like Brad Pitt got a morale booster when Krissan Morel, the nanny of Angelina Jolie, recently came out to say that Brad Pitt is not the kind of person that the 41-year-old actress seems to be projecting him to be in public.
Morel advised Jolie not to cut Brad out of their children’s lives. She added that she should not use the children as weapons in their divorce. She also asked her not to demonize her former husband, details Jezebel.
Morel was Angelina’s childhood nanny and she also compared between Angie’s behavior and that of her mother Marcheline Bertrand, when the latter and actor Jon Voight divorced in 1977.
It is not clear what the similarities were between Angelina and her mother Marcheline but the latter actually divorced Jon Voight for his womanizing ways. Bertrand also could not stand looking at Angelina because she looked so much like his father. But Angelina wants her children all to herself and not to share them with Brad Pitt so the comparison appears oblique.
Making their first public appearance
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and her children emerged in public for the first time since she filed divorce from her former husband.
She was spotted with her six children namely, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, in Los Angeles on October 16, where they visited a rental property, reports the Daily Mail.
The family apparently visited the beach together before touring the property, spending over an hour at the house.
Angelina was also joined by a large group of security guards as well as child minders. A source close to the actress said that the kids were running around and they seemed happy and doing well. They were accompanied by Angelina’s older brother James Haven.
Haven, a former actor who famously kissed Jolie on the lips at the Oscars in 2000, now has an active daily role in raising the six children.
This sighting of Jolie and her six children comes days ahead of the reported temporary custody reassessment scheduled on October 20.
There were reports last week saying that Brad Pitt broke down in tears when he saw his children for the first time in nearly three weeks after his former wife announced she was divorcing him.
The actor had to be supervised by a therapist when he saw at least two of the six children he has with Angelina Jolie on a visit lasting just one hour.
He played with his children during the reportedly gut-wrenching meeting, when they began crying too.
