“Hawaii Five-O” has been on the screen for a while now, and the show has gone through some very dramatic developments. Its fans are pretty much used to the idea that they should expect betrayal and even worse from anyone among the characters, but one of the recent rumors about season 7 claims that the producers might be planning to push things to an extreme.
According to some recent claims, the main protagonist of the show, Steve McGarrett, could be written off sometime soon. It’s not quite clear what the producers are going to do with his character, as the rumors weren’t entirely clear on that, so it’s possible that he won’t be killed off but rather sent away permanently.
Not that this would be a better development in the eyes of fans though – McGarrett has been a crucial part of the show’s character composition, and it’s not easy to imagine “Hawaii Five-O” continuing without him. That’s why some fans are starting to fear the worst – if it’s true that the producers are planning to take McGarrett out of the equation, does this mean that the show could be on its way out soon as well?
The last time we saw Steve, he was in a pretty bad situation, taken captive by the mysterious “chess piece” murderer. We finally got a name for the killer in that episode too, revealed to be Madison Gray. And while Steve was able to get in a fight with his captor and inflict some damage, he was ultimately stabbed while Madison got away.
The team was at least able to find Steve himself, so there is still some hope for the character. We actually don’t expect the writers to kill him off in such a way if they’re actually planning to remove him from the show, so he will most likely live through this incident. Some fans were afraid that the writers could use his stab wound as a way to take him down later, but we can’t tell if that’s true or not without actually watching the show.
In the next episode, the team will have to deal with a thief going after a large supply of firearms, planning to use them for nefarious purposes. It looks like a lot is on the table here, as there could be some serious consequences from the thief’s actions if they manage to pull off their plan.
And while we don’t doubt that the team will be able to deal with this situation, we’re more worried about the side developments that are going to occur in this episode. There have been some rumors that the new episode could contain some hints about McGarrett’s exit from the show, but this could be a simple ploy to make more fans tune in for the episode once it airs.
In any case, those who want to find out if there have been any hints about Steve’s fate can just follow the discussions after the episode has aired.
“Hawaii Five-O” started off on a great note, but the show ran into some problems along the way due to some of the riskier ideas that the producers had. In the end though, they’ve managed to pull through and they’ve developed quite the unique production, one that stands out on its own and doesn’t shine just because of the fame of its predecessor. The new “Hawaii Five-O” actually changed quite a lot from the original show it’s based on.

Hopefully this is just rumour to pick up on viewers. If so, it’s a crappy way to do it, and will only fly once. Do it again, and you’ll lose viewers, however you “rumour” it.
And of course, lose Steve, lose all your viewers. I know it’s a team, but Steve is “the man” and without the man, you have no show.
