Apple iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Lose to the Google Pixel When it Comes to Smartphone Camera!

The Samsung Galaxy S7, just like its predecessor, the Galaxy S6, has a great camera. Having a good camera, though not as great as the ones found in Samsung’s flagship smartphone lineup, has always been the hallmark of the Apple iPhones.

While the Samsung flagship smartphones are known for their sharp and high-resolution smartphone cameras and photos, the iPhones of Apple, including its latest, the iPhone 7, offer a flatter, more true-to-life images, and is really good for editing.

But the two best flagship smartphones of today are actually beaten when it comes to smartphone camera by the Google Pixel, the latest flagship smartphone of the American technological and software company.

It has been noted that for the better part of the last decade, one of the biggest demands from people in the market for a premium smartphone was a great camera.

However, these days, a good smartphone camera is no longer the deciding factor that it once was. Because the feature is now so common among high-end and even mid-range smartphones, notes The Verge.

In comparing the smartphone cameras of the Apple iPhone 7, the Samsung Galaxy S7, and the Google Pixel, it is the latter which may have won the race, but both Samsung and Apple made it a photo finish, indicating of a close fight.

The best smartphone one can buy

Incidentally, the companion phone of the Apple iPhone 7 when it was launched on September 7 is the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, which is being regarded by many critics as the best smartphone today that money can buy, reports The Indian Express.

Compared to the iPhone 7, the iPhone 7 Plus offers a much better camera with dual lens combo, clearly the USP of the phone.

It also brings in a new glossy jet black variant which has already become very popular, despite its tendency to attract scratches as well as fingerprints. The phone does not have a 3.5mm jack for audio, and the space has been used to add a Taptic Engine inside and an extra speaker outside, which makes it one of the loudest and best sounding smartphones today.

During the testing phase, the Apple iPhone 7 felt more like an incremental update over the iPhone 6S because it didn’t have the one feature that was spectacular. iPhone 7 Plus has no such issues. The dual lens combo at the rear uses some smart software to give users amazing images. And the f1.8 aperture makes the smartphone one of the best performing smartphone cameras in low light.

Strong demand in India

The Apple iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have officially hit the smartphone retail markets in India on October 7, one month after the Cupertino-based tech company launched its latest flagship handsets.

On September 23, or two weeks before its official rollout date in India, pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have been made available on Flipkart, one of the official online retailer for Apple’s latest iPhones.

Flipkart has created a separate landing page on its website for the Apple iPhone 7 and users can ask to be notified when the phone is up for pre-order.

The online retailer will charge the full payment for the pre-booking of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus and not a token amount.

As far as changes to the iPhone 7 from the iPhone 6S are concerned, the latest iPhone comes with a black color option which also comes in two finishes – jet black and matte black.

The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus also come with a redesigned home button with tactile feedback, which takes some time getting used to. The new iPhones have also done away with the 3.5-mm headphone jack slot and now relies on Lightning powered EarPods.

But in order to cushion the loss of the 3.5mm headphone jack slot, Apple is making available an adapter in the box as well so it would allow the user to charge the device and listen to music at the same time.
