The TLC network has yet to renew the American family reality TV series “Sister Wives” as of this time which is the reason why the internet has been deluged with rumors, speculations, and reports that the show will no longer be renewed for Season 8.
There have been plenty of rumors going around as to why the TLC network shall no longer give its nod for an eighth season of “Sister Wives.”
On top of the rumor list is the supposed plan of Kody Brown, the family patriarch, to junk all his four wives and replace them with two new ones. It seems like a ridiculous rumor right from the outset since Kody Brown was nowhere near such plan during a tell-all interview with host Erica Hill in the Season 7 finale of “Sister Wives.”
Fans and critics are one in saying that such is not typical of Kody so it is likely an exaggerated speculation meant to hype the upcoming eighth season of the TV series. Some are saying that it could also be the work of people close to the cast and producers of the show because it is an attempt to ensure that the network renews the show for a Season 8.
There are also rumors going around that all the four wives are already sick and tired of the polygamous set-up that they all want out of the marriage.
A stronger family than ever
Again, it seems unlikely that it is the case since the family seemed to have gotten stronger than ever in Season 7 after they survived the controversial catfishing scandal involving Kody’s first wife, Meri Barber.
There are now reports saying that Meri has found a new love and is ready to bolt out of the polygamous marriage.
However, the biggest report as of late, which seems more plausible than the rumors, is the supposed decision of TLC not to renew the show for its eighth season because “Sister Wives” no longer has a story to tell.
Accordingly, the network feels that “Sister Wives” has already explored the intricacies of polygamous marriage that it could no longer go beyond Season 7 without repeating tired storylines again because it has pretty much told everything during the seven seasons of the popular TV series, notes the iTech Post.
But all these remain as speculations pending the confirmation from TLC, which can actually end all speculations going around online if and when it finally decides to renew the show for an eighth season.
Fault-finding in the works
There are also reports saying that because of the impending decision of the network to cancel the TV series, the four wives of Kody Brown have reportedly begun fighting over who was to blame for the show’s current predicament, details News Everyday.
Some critics, however, opine that the reason why the four wives are supposedly fighting each other is because they wanted to add a good plotline for Season 8 of “Sister Wives” once it gets the green light from TLC.
Apparently, they believe that infusing the show with some controversy, like the catfishing scandal of Meri in Season 7, would be big for the fans of the TV series because it will add a new dimension to its storyline compared to having the usual polygamous family set up and stuff.
There are also rumors saying that Meri is now determined to move on from Kody Brown. Meri is Kody’s first wife. He divorced her to marry his fourth wife Robyn in Season 6 of “Sister Wives” but Meri remains spiritually married to Kody.
There are reports saying that Meri is allegedly dating a new man who lives in Hawaii. Kody Brown’s first wife is supposedly done with him and all the drama with her sister wives.
The source disclosed that Meri has wanted to leave in the past year and now she’s traveling frequently.

I love Sister Wives
If Kody wants a fresh start with two young hot wives, it’s understandable. The ones he has now seem to be old and so out of shape. Twenty somethings or old enough to be grandmothers, he really has no choice. Any man would go for young and sexy over the old and thick. Men enjoy younger ladies in their twenties for sexual partners, unless love is involved. Kody is only interested in physical pleasure, so he sees sexual gratification only in the younger, thinner women that he craves.
