The next season of “Fear the Walking Dead” is going to tackle some important issues for the show, according to the producers, and will resolve some lingering cliffhangers that fans have been curious to see uncovered. And perhaps more interestingly, we could actually see a new type of creature introduced in season 3. The one who captured Ofelia might turn out to be something more than a simple human.
The show’s producers have been pretty cryptic about this issue, and they seemingly don’t want to reveal too much about the character, but we’ve seen some implications that he could have an unusual nature, something that fans don’t quite expect.
The previews were not quite clear on that though, and the way his character was describe could also be interpreted as a human with a more unusual behavior. In any case, even the origin of Ofelia’s captor remains a bit dubious right now. Most speculate that he belonged to the Minuteman Project, but he could have a slightly different background than most attached to it.
Meanwhile, some fans are worried if anyone else is going to die in season 3. We already saw Chris get killed off in the last season, and there is some speculation among viewers that he might be far from the last one.
Things also got quite messy towards the end of season 2 though, and some characters saw themselves in serious predicaments that they might find it hard to get out of in the coming episodes. The producers have been hinting at a season full of trouble for some of the show’s characters, and while that wouldn’t be exactly out of style for this particular show, it also sounds like they’re trying to push this trend even further now.
We still don’t know when the season is supposed to arrive, however. There are various rumors in this regard, but not much information on the official front. The producers actually seem a bit secretive about this, so hopefully this doesn’t indicate any delays or other problems behind the scenes.
So far, it’s expected that the show should be ready for the spring season of next year, but as we said, this hasn’t been confirmed yet. In the latest, we expect to see the new season by the summer of 2017, but in that case it should hopefully come with some extra content.
Regardless of what the producers are planning for the release schedule of the season, they should take things easy and not rush their work. The show has gone through two very successful first seasons, and many fans are looking forward to the third one with active interest.
All the producers have to do right now is maintain the same level of quality that they already showed in the first two installments. And from what we’ve been seeing in the form of rumors and previews for the new season, it looks like this is exactly what they are doing.
Meanwhile, there have been some more negative rumors claiming that the show could actually get cancelled. These don’t seem to be backed by any actual facts or claims by the producers though, so we wouldn’t put too much weight to them. After all, it wouldn’t make much sense to kill off this show after the first two seasons started on such a strong note. Even if there are some issues with its ratings, there’s nothing that can’t be fixed with some changes to the formula.
