Launch Date of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Still in the Dark! Device Likely to Sport a Fingerprint Scanner and Windows 10 Redstone 2!

Microsoft might be quiet about the next Surface Pro model, but that doesn’t stop the rumor mills from buzzing. Rumors suggest that Microsoft is currently working on Surface Pro 5 and they are secretive about the device.

Game N Guide reported that Microsoft would release the Surface Pro 5 along with another device from the company. The Redmond-based tech company is secretive about the new Surface Pro model since they have plans to pack in a lot of impressive specs in the device.

While some media houses believe that Microsoft will announce the Surface Pro 5 along with the all-in-one (AIO) PC, others feel that a 2016 release of the Surface Pro 5 isn’t likely. International Business Times reported that Microsoft might be looking to release the Surface Pro 5 and the AIO PC by the end of October.

If the company had plans to release their hybrid laptop by the end of 2016, they would have made the announcement by now. The main reason for believing that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 won’t release by the end of the current year is because it will come with an upgraded operating system.

Microsoft still hasn’t launched the Windows 10 Redstone 2. The company decided to push back the rollout of the hardware to 2017. Since Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be powered by the Windows 10 Redstone 2, the hybrid laptop will have to wait for the hardware to be ready.

Apart from the Windows 10 Redstone 2, the much-anticipated hybrid laptop will have the Intel Kaby Lake processor. While the manufacturing companies have started procuring the chips, full distribution for the same won’t start until next year. This further supports the claim that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 won’t release in 2016.

Speculation about Microsoft Surface Pro 5 started around June. Reports suggested that Microsoft wanted to compete with Apple’s decision to launch MacBook Pro 2016. With Apple making plans to release the MacBook Pro in 2016, Microsoft was assumed to release Surface Pro 5 at the same time.

Finally, neither of the tech-giants released their products. iDigital Times reported that Apple might be getting ready to release their MacBook Pro 2016. However, there isn’t any information on Surface Pro 5.

Tech experts find it weird that there aren’t enough leaks or information on the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. There is information that the specs for the Surface Pro 5 will be better than that of Surface Pro 4.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have a better battery life. The battery was a primary concern for the previous model and Microsoft is sure to rectify the issue.

Microsoft has also realized that there is no demand for their hybrid laptops when it comes to the gaming community. To capture the gaming market, the American tech giant decided to introduce better gaming features in the Surface Pro 5.

The gaming features will give them an added edge over their competitors.

Rumors already suggested that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will come with the Intel Kaby Lake processor, which will boost the performance of the device. The device will also have a 4K display with 3,840-pi resolution.

Neuro Gadget confirmed that this feature would be available in even the basic variants of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Even the new Windows 10 Redstone 2 operating system will provide the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 with an excellent interface and enhanced graphics. The feature would go a long way in making the Surface Pro 5 a gaming device.
