The First Episode of Quantico Season 2 Fails to Step Up to the Expectations, Will It Get Better with The Following Episodes?

The American drama thriller series starring the Indian diva Priyanka Chopra and Josh Hopkins has left the audience craving for more with its amazing story line and gained over 8.05 million viewers. The upcoming season of the series is sure to leave the audience on the edge of their seats.

While the expectations for the second season have been over the top, given the success of the first season, the audience were not that impressed with the first aired episode of the show. The audiences claimed that the first episode of the second season was somewhat not precisely executed and was clumsily cut.

The first episode of Quantico season 2 has been a very good news for the Priyanka Chopra fans because the entire episode covered sequences of her fighting, loving and at some point stripping down to a shirtless state. The rest of the first episode of the second season let down the audience’s expectations with it forced plotline.

The “forced” creation of thrill and suspense in the episode was clearly visible, and everything seemed a bit plastic and fake. The episode was set in a CIA-driven place named The Farm and the given dialogues to the characters sounded amateur and self-driven.

People who have seen the first episode can very well point out the back and forth throughout the entire episode.

The episode is set on Alex Parrish and her trials on saving the hostage situation that was created in the presidential summit involving the American President. The audience complained about the constant back and forth and the lack of stability in the episode.

While the last season ended with Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) fired from the FBI and later joining the CIA, the director of the movie promised a much less turmoil in this season. The showrunner Josh Safran stated in an interview that he wants the second season to hold its identity and not just stand out as a “sequel.”

Josh further stated that this season is focused on being a bit more on the mature side and will focus on the better character development and not leave the puzzle pieces hanging till the last minute. He even said that the season won’t leave the nail-biting suspense but will focus more on how to stop the mishaps from happening.

The pivotal characters of Alex and Ryan are set to face several setbacks and problems in the second season of the series. The CIA infiltration is yet another major point to keep in mind, and it looks like after the beheading of the First Lady in the last episode of Season 1, the efficiency of Ryan which is portrayed by Jake McLaughlin is put to the test.

The synopsis of the second episode of the season which is named as “Lipstick” based off on the CIA cryptonym is mainly revolving around Alex and Ryan and their relationship.

The second episode is a glance through the future episodes and focuses on the strategies that Ryan and Raina will plot to disrupt the plans and plots of the terrorists and thereby save the held hostages.
