Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Officially Hits Retail Markets in India on October 7, Pre-Order Now Available on Flipkart!

The Apple iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus shall be officially hitting the smartphone retail markets in India on October 7, one month after the Cupertino-based tech company launched its latest flagship handsets.

On September 23, or two weeks before its official rollout date in India, pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have been made available on Flipkart, one of the official online retailers for Apple’s latest iPhones in India, reports the Indian Express.

Flipkart has created a separate landing page on its website for the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and users can ask to be notified when the phone is up for pre-order.

The online retailer will charge the full payment for the pre-booking of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus and not a token amount.

As far as changes to the iPhone 7 from the iPhone 6S are concerned, the latest iPhone comes with a black color option which also comes in two finishes – jet black and matte black.

The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus also come with a redesigned home button with tactile feedback, which takes some time getting used to. The new iPhones have also done away with the 3.5-mm headphone jack slot and now relies on Lightning powered EarPods.

But in order to cushion the loss of the 3.5mm headphone jack slot, Apple is making available an adapter in the box as well so it would allow the user to charge the device and listen to music at the same time.

A winning combination

Some of the most highly commended features of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are its excellent cameras, lens, and image processing, which make for a winning combination, notes DXOmark.

Apparently, Apple has further improved the already excellent cameras from its previous generation iPhones and added a variety of new features that the American tech giant hopes will continue to make the iPhone the world’s most popular camera.

The iPhone 7 has received plenty of upgrades including a brighter lens, an improved image processing, four-element flash, and optical image stabilization. The iPhone 7 Plus received an even better set of upgrades.

The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus now use a new, wider color gamut called as DCI-P3, making for richer colors when used with Apple or other high-end displays that support the DCI-P3 standard.

Experts believe that the iPhone 7 camera represents a very solid evolution over the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in both features and image quality. All three phones feature a 12MP 1/2.7”-type sensor, and a wide-angle 28-mm equivalent lens.

However, the iPhone 7 has a brighter lens, f/1.8 compared to the f/2.2 of the 6S and the 6S Plus. It also adds optical image stabilization, previously only found in Apple’s iPhone Plus models. Improved image processing and a more power efficient sensor round out its new feature set.

Apple’s thrust to craft a future

More than three weeks after the official unveiling of the Apple iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, people are still talking about the latest smartphone from the American tech giant.

It may have been good if they are talking about the merits of the new features of the latest iPhones but most of the people are actually debating on the decision of Apple to remove the headphone jack and incorporate other features.

Some critics note that despite its good intention of removing the headphone jack on the latest iPhones, it also opens up the possibility that it may lead to a painful end, which often happens in the path of good intentions.

Nearly every iPhone user has their own opinion on the decision of Apple to remove the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, but some are saying that it took the American tech giant to earn a certain amount of courage to decide on it.
