Season 6 of the American legal drama TV series “Suits” on the USA Network is now on a hiatus after its summer finale.
The show has gotten the right amount of impetus as it moves to its back half with the release of Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, from the Danbury Prison after completing his two-year jail sentence for fraud.
With Mike already out as a free man, Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht, proposed to him a consultancy position at Pearson Specter Litt but he said that he would weigh first the offer.
It was a good offer and Mike needed both the job and the salary that the law firm can provide him. However, once he accepts the offer, Mike would be thrust again to the career he really loves even though he does not have a university degree to show for it.
With that being said, speculations are rife that Mike would likely accept Harvey’s offer but he will do more than that. It is likely that Mike would pursue a law course to become an eligible lawyer in its truest sense.
Mike’s edge has always been his strategic ways in dealing with legal situations as well as his confidence in any court of law. Since he likes being in the legal profession, it is possible that Mike would pursue the profession by entering the real world of law school where every document is scrutinized thoroughly, reports the iTech Post.
The effect of Jessica’s departure
It could be recalled that during the summer midseason finale of “Suits” Season 6, Jessica Pearson, played by Gina Torres, has decided to leave the firm, without really taking her name from it.
Showrunner Aaron Korsh revealed in a recent interview that the back half of Season 6 of “Suits” is basically a transitional phase for the TV series.
Jessica has decided to leave Harvey, Louis, played by Rick Hoffman, Donna, played by Sarah Rafferty, Rachel, played by Meghan Markle, and Mke.
But Korsh confirmed that Jessica will still return in the forthcoming episodes of the show but the back half will deal heavily with the aftermath of Jessica’s exit from the firm, details the Parent Herald.
Critics think that one of the most interesting transitions would be the relationship of Harvey and Louis because their mediator is now gone.
The showrunner also teased that there will be a surprising scene between Harvey, Louis, and Donna in the eleventh episode of “Suits” Season 6.
Returning in January
It was actress Meghan Markle who recently confirmed via an Instagram post that “Suits” Season 6B will premiere in January next year.
She announced on the photo sharing app that she and the rest of the cast recently returned on set to film the remaining episodes for Season 6 of the TV series.
Another interesting thing that viewers and fans want to know about the show is whether the remnants of Pearson Specter Litt finally agree to merge their firm with the law firm of Robert Zane, played by Wendell Pierce.
It can be recalled that when Zane first made the offer to Pearson Specter Litt, Jessica turned it down because she believes that her law firm is several notches better compared to Robert Zane’s law firm.
According to Korsh, Robert Zane is going to decide whether to keep his offer to Pearson Specter Litt on the table or not anymore. It is possible that with the presence of Mike Ross in the Pearson Specter Litt law firm, Zane will be more than inclined to keep the offer alive.
With Jessica’s dramatic departure from the law firm, it would be interesting to know how her former colleagues manage to get along with Zane’s law firm should both firms agree to merge.
