With October coming, there will be new free games available for PlayStation Plus subscribers. There are some speculated releases for people who are planning to grab such games in October. First of all, we have Assassins Creed: Black Flag. The game has already been made free on other platforms.
Therefore, it sounds practical to release it for the PS Plus subscribers. The title is considered to be one of the best AC games so far. It certainly has the caliber to keep players busy, and they won’t be looking at anything else for a while. ‘Nights of the Azure’ is a game that is already free in Japan. This October, it will have its first anniversary.
People who have not played Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4 will love the release of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Reports indicate that it will be free for all PlayStation Plus members and will include all the DLCs with new content.
Meanwhile, there is no confirmation whether Gravity Rush Remastered will release for PlayStation Plus members in the coming month but it is already free in Japan.
Gravity Rush 2 will come as well; therefore, it seems like a win-win situation for this franchise. Another installment of Watch Dogs will come on 15th November. Therefore, there is a possibility that PS Plus members might be able to get their hands on the first Watch Dogs game, free of charge.
Other games that could be released free for PS Plus subscribers are ‘The Evil Within,’ ‘Alien: Isolation,’ ‘Costume Quest 2’, ‘Oddworld Munch’s Oddysee HD,’ ‘Killzone: Shadowfall’ and ‘The Crew.’
Officially, the PlayStation Plus October line-up is yet to be revealed by Sony. It seems like they will make the official announcement on Wednesday, 31st September 2016. PS Plus subscribers are probably used to announcements which are made on the last Tuesday every month. However, the last few have landed on Wednesday.
The community managers of PlayStation Plus prefer keeping things vague, especially when they are asked about it. They usually indicate that it will fall on the last week of every month. Fans, however, have a set date regarding the release of October 2016 PlayStation Plus roster.
It is suggested that 4th October, Tuesday, is the day to check up on that lineup. Meanwhile, fans have more than a week to get their hands on the September PlayStation Plus titles which are presently on offer. It also includes two games on PS Vita, PS3, and PS4. The full line up for September 2016 is:-
- Lords of the Fallen, PS4
- Datura, PS3
- Journey, PS4, PS3
- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, PS3

The North American PlayStation Plus members will be looking out for some quality titles to be released in the month of October, and it’s primarily because of the recent increase in membership price since 22nd September.
After 22nd September, membership prices for PlayStation Plus members will change to $59.99 USD/ $69.99 CAD for a 12-month period and $24.99 USD/$29.99 CAD for a 3-month period.
In Canada, the monthly plan will change to $11.99 CAD, but it will remain $9.99 in the United States. In case you are a current member, the changes in price will take effect if the membership is renewed on or after the mentioned date. Meanwhile, there won’t be any price changes in Europe or USA.
