Justin Bieber just dodged a supposed attack on him. The 22-year-old singer reportedly was trying to make his way through a busy crowd in a nightclub in Germany when he accidentally bumped into a man, who lunged at him.
Justin was in Munich for his Purpose World Tour and was hanging out at a club called Heart after one of his shows last Saturday.
Bieber was lucky enough that his friend, John Shahidi, was there and stepped in to take care of the situation while another friend led him to safety.
Footage of the attack has surfaced online. The clip shows a man grabbing Bieber’s shirt with his hands shoving him. The man’s face was out of the camera’s angle and his arms were mostly what was seen.
The “Sorry” singer, who sported a black top with a white logo, stopped and looked shocked after being targeted. The altercation halted the party vibe inside the club as other partygoers became involved.
TMZ reports that the man was trying all night to get Justin’s attention, but failed. The website adds that after he finally came face-to-face with the Biebs, he decided to lunge at the singer.
The “Love Yourself” crooner managed to stay on both feet and kept his cool while his friends get rid of the man away from him.
Lucky for “The Feeling” hitmaker, he had a day off between the Munich show and his next gig in Cologne which gave him ample time to recover from the incident.
The identity of the man has not been disclosed nor his real reasons for almost attacking the pop star, but it looks like he was an angered fan for not being noticed by his idol.
People who witnessed the scuffle in the bar said that the man was really trying to get Bieber to notice him and all of his attempts just failed so he did the supposed attack out of desperation.
There are also reports saying that the man was probably one of the disappointed fans from his show earlier that night.
As per Inquistr, Justin called out his loyal fans after he was leaving the concert venue, disappointing a lot of them.
What’s worse is that it was all caught on video. Most of his die-hard fans eagerly awaited near the exit for them to see him up close after the concert.
The mystery fan, who was recording the moment, tried to get Justin’s attention to say hello, to which he angrily responded: “you guys suck.”
The crowd of fans was immediately upset by the remark, and let out an audibly disappointed sound. As per the Daily Mail, it’s not the first time that the Grammy winner has been tackled in a bar. Justin was also attacked in a bar in Toronto back in 2013.
Despite being almost mauled, the Canadian singer continues his European tour next week with stops in Finland and Sweden.
The Purpose World Tour is the third world tour for Bieber. It kicked off last March in Seattle, Washington and is scheduled to end in November in London.
While touring, the “I’ll Show You” singer recently split with his girlfriend of one month Sofia Richie after their fling was supposedly starting to become hot and heavy.
E! Online reports that the pair were never really officially together, but they enjoyed each other’s company very much.
Richie is an up-and-coming model and the youngest daughter of musician Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Diana Richie.
Reports suggest that the former couple’s relationship was never meant to be a serious thing and the two never really noticed the media coverage they were getting until they called it quits.
