While everyone around Chloe Lane on “Days of Our Lives” was so far convinced that she was carrying the child of Philip, it seems like the writers of the show are actually planning a major twist up ahead – he’s not the father, and neither is Deimos Kiriakis, contrary to what Chloe herself believes.
This will all come out when Deimos requests a paternity test for Chloe, convinced that he’s one step ahead of everyone in his plan. However, one the test results come out, he will probably be as stumped as Chloe and Philip, and it will likely all end up in a huge mess.
Kate will be involved in the whole thing as well, and some fans suspect that she might play an underhanded role, probably interfering with the test in some way. It’s completely in her character, after all, and we would expect nothing less from the writers when it comes to this kind of plot development.
After all, they can’t just drop a bomb like that on their fans and let the story die down without many interesting incidents, and it’s also a good opportunity to get many of the other characters involved.
The story seems quite suspicious as a whole, and there are multiple possible explanations for the results of the paternity test. Many fans are apparently leaning towards the idea of Chloe hiding something much more complicated than we initially thought, and given what we’ve previously seen on this show, it’s entirely possible.
Chloe’s character will surely be affected quite a lot by this, and many suspect that this will all lead up to a major change in her personality later down the road. No matter what happens with her pregnancy, the upcoming revelations will have a strong impact on her relationship with everyone else, and we expect that this will play out later in one form or another.
The show has been known for taking things slowly though, so we also wouldn’t be surprised if these developments came later on. The producers could be keeping them as an unexpected twist for a later episode; for example, we could see Chloe gradually returning to normal, and then suddenly her past coming back to bite her a long time from now.
Last but not least, some of the crazier suggestions among fans imply that Chloe could have been attacked and she herself might not know who the father truly is. In that case, this could also be used as a potential spring-loaded trap for her at a later point.
Other than that, the show’s story has been focusing on the criminals running around town causing trouble for its citizens. We just saw them pull off yet another “stunt” which left everyone annoyed (and many scared), and we suspect that the writers are going to use them in some more unexpected way sooner or later.
Fans don’t seem too bothered by that right now though – many are just interested in finding out the truth about Chloe. Will the writers satisfy their viewers, or will they keep dragging this story out for a long time?
The fact that Deimos shared his plan with Nicole could also play a major role later on, some fans seem to believe. This show has given us plenty of examples of what happens to people who hold on to dark secrets for too long, and this kind of story will no doubt have many repercussions for the characters involved.
