The stars of The Real Housewives of New York got together for a rather awkward cast reunion. Season 8 of Bravo’s reality show had made things tricky. The wounds don’t seem to have healed yet since the ladies were in no mood to smoothen out the creases.
The Real Housewives of New York City Season 9 is on its way, and the reunion was meant to be an icebreaker. However, it was far from that! The first thing that happened at the reunion was Bethenny Frankel informing them all about Tom D’Agostino caught kissing another woman on camera.
Tom D’Agostino is Luanne de Lesseps’ fiancé, and while she had reacted on similar charges in the past, she was strangely calm this time around. Instead of flying into a rage, Lesseps blamed herself for Tom D’Agostino’s roving eyes.
The viewers clearly knew this wasn’t the case. Tom D’Agostino dated two of the other members of The Real Housewives of New York, and they have all vouched for his philandering ways and warned Lesseps about getting her heart broken.
The situation took a nasty turn when Luanne turned against Bethenny for sharing the information of her boyfriend kissing another woman. Luanne called Bethenny a horrible person. Andy Cohen, the creator of the show, made matters worse when he brought up Bethenny’s divorce.
The whole gang suddenly ganged up against Bethenny. Andy Cohen’s desperate attempts to make matters better, by calling for a group hug didn’t do any good. Bethenny skipped the fake hugs and kisses and made it evident that she isn’t one to fake her feelings.
Ramona Singer stood by Bethenny after the incident and tried to understand how Luanne could turn against Bethenny for warning her about her fiancé’s philandering nature. She shared a photo on Instagram where she holds her phone with Tom’s photo.
The reunion was the third one for Season 8 of The Real Housewives of New York City. Season 9 is on the cards and will have some changes in the cast. Inquisitr reported that both Jaimie Hilfiger and Jill Zarin would be brought in.
Jaimie Hilfiger revealed that she might be on The Real Housewives of New York Season 9 while chatting with OK Magazine at the New York Fashion Week. Jaimie Hilfiger confessed to being a huge fan of the show.
Since she had recently shifted to New York City, there are chances of Bravo bringing her in. Jaimie said that the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York would be a dramatic one, but what counts is the ladies are friends in spite of all the fights that they are a part of.
Talking about making friends on the show, Jaimie Hilfiger said that she might bond with Sonja Morgan. Hilfiger finds her beautiful and feels that the other ladies purposely give her a hard time. Jaimie Hilfiger understands Sonja Morgan’s plans of building a lifestyle brand around herself.
Hilfiger said that being a model, she wants to continue that while having her range of skincare products. If asked to be a part of The Real Housewives of New York Season 9, she will keep doing her thing while staying positive and contributing to the drama.
Jill Zarin revealed that she wants to return to The Real Housewives of New York Season 9. She said that while she is interested in doing a cameo, Bravo doesn’t call her up.
It doesn’t look like Jill Zarin will be a part of Season 9 of The Real Housewives of New York. However, her fans are hopeful of a cameo in the upcoming season.
With speculation of two new cast members, it looks like Season 9 will lose two of its original members. While there is no confirmation on whether Jaimie Hilfiger and Jill Zarin will be a part of Season 9 of The Real Housewives of New York, there seems to be some problem with Bethenny’s presence in the upcoming season.
Bethenny Frankel has distanced herself from the other cast members of The Real Housewives of New York. She had already made it clear during the reunion that she doesn’t want to be a part of the show and it looks she meant it.
According to Bustle, Bravo paid her $1.5 million to stick around for The Real Housewives of New York Season 9. There is no confirmation on whether she has accepted the offer.
Jules Wainstein confirmed that she wouldn’t be returning for Season 9. The news of her departure comes right after the news of her separation from her husband, Michael Wainstein, whom she accused of cheating. Wainstein said that she wants to focus on her business and family.
