Dominic Purcell, the actor behind the character of Lincoln Burrows on “Prison Break”, has been quite active on social media lately, sharing various pictures that have been of great interest to his fans. It looks like the actor’s new tattoos are going to play a special role in the story, and they might be related to helping Michael break out of prison.
Michael himself is in a tough spot in the new season, accused of having links with ISIS and thrown in a highly secure facility. It will be up to Lincoln to save him, and the various teasers we’ve seen for the new season all seem to imply that he will have a genius plan devised to pull off the jailbreak.
Everyone on the show’s set seems excited for the new season, and Dominic Purcell in particular has been quite eager to reprise his role. The actor actually sounds proud to be part of the show, and it’s clear that there is a lot going on behind the scenes to give everyone strong hopes for the new season.
Hopefully the show’s fans will be pleased with the new developments, as they’ve been waiting for this season for quite a while. After a show has been off air for so long, a new season is a crucial point in its lifetime, as it can make or break the production permanently.
There has been a lot of speculation about “Prison Break” and how well its fifth season will perform, especially after the show’s long absence. Many people seem convinced that it will be a good set of episodes and will revive interest in the show, but others are more pessimistic.
In fact, there seem to be some fans of “Prison Break” who would have preferred to go without a new season at all. To them, the show has already ended, and the producers are just milking it at this point. Obviously this can be argued quite a lot, but hopefully the producers will be able to change the minds of those fans once they show us the new season.
It’s also worth keeping in mind that releasing a new season after so much time has the potential to make the show even more popular than before, as it will have significantly more potential viewers. Not only will it have its original fans coming back to check out all the hype about the new season, but there will no doubt be newcomers to the community as well, people who’ve never heard of “Prison Break” and will be interested in checking it out.
Those people will be great potential buyers for DVD box sets of the previous seasons and other similar deals, so we expect that the producers of the show are going to make a serious marketing push once the new episodes arrive.
We also wouldn’t be surprised if they released some extra promotional materials to help “ease in” newcomers to the show’s fan base, such as short videos recapping the previous events.
Of course, it would still be much better for anyone interested to just see all of the original four seasons themselves, but not everyone will have the time for that. In any case we expect that there will be a lot of talk about the show, and not just about the upcoming fifth season either. The producers should definitely make use of that hype in some way.
